+32 Wearing a beanie indoors looks ridiculous. amirite?

by kinghackett 4 months ago

Ya I mean it's mostly unavoidable. OP is a grump

by Anonymous 4 months ago

opposite end of the spectrum hahaha, i have to wear a beanie for a while for my hair to look better lmao. hairy is supper thick and puffs out if i don't wear one for at least like 2 hours lol

by Anonymous 4 months ago

I get this, but i haven't mastered it. Unchecked my hair is just kind of a weird fuzzball but sometimes I take a toque off and it looks great.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

I'm balding and have acne scars on my forehead. Just leave me be, doesn't affect you in the slightest. Thanks.

by tressaprice 4 months ago

This. As a woman suffering from Androgenic Alopecia, I have pretty much lived in my beanies (toques to us Canadians) this winter. It gives my wigs a break and helps to extend their life.

A large portion of the PNW will back you in this fight.

But what if I'm a bisexual barista? It's part of the uniform

What if your house is cold and you have no hair?

by Anonymous 4 months ago

Exactly. It's like a cozy blanket on my head.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

As someone who absolutely wears it on bad hair days, I agree 😂

by Anonymous 4 months ago

When I had red hair and the roots started coming in I would wear hats at work.. one of the cooks called me out because his wife does the same thing 😅

by Spare-Gas 4 months ago

Agree. Also to keep hair out of my face

by lawsondonnelly 4 months ago

Came here to say this. Too long to style, too short for bun. Hair masher for the win.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

I love the unpopular opinions that could easily be solved by learning how to mind your own business

by Anonymous 4 months ago

My favorite ones are when the OP gets angry at what other people are eating.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

My favorite ones are the I hate football ones or sports in general

by Anonymous 4 months ago

An opinion isn't something to be solved though? You can mind your own business while making an observation

by Anonymous 4 months ago

I provided a counterargument. It's funny that you feel the need to shut down conversations around opinions but you accuse me of being butthurt over opinions.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

Wearing all hats indoors has historically been considered rude. It's just been disregarded

by Embarrassed-Fix5929 4 months ago

Found the person who wears a beanie with a T shirt 😂

Anything looks good when you're sexy

by Temporary-Future 4 months ago

So true. Which is why everything i wear looks terrible.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

Have you tried wearing sexy things?

by Anonymous 4 months ago

Should we ban baseball caps too since most people wearing baseball caps don't play baseball?

by Anonymous 4 months ago

While we're at it, we might as well ban aviator sunglasses as well. Unless of course you are a pilot.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

"you're not doing manual labor. Take those jeans off"

by Anonymous 4 months ago

I work in a warehouse and wear a beanie basically every day, and I am cute AF. 👍

by Doviewyman 4 months ago

My house is cold, it's hella cheaper to wear a beanie inside than to heat my house up more.

by lorenzo82 4 months ago

seems to be a lazy way to cover a bad hair day. Okay but as counter point, a bad hair day is going to look far more ridiculous than wearing a beanie. Also I wear them because after I went bald my head gets cold really easy. My head is shaved now and as long as its warm enough I love feeling the air on my skin, but the majority of indoor spaces I visit seem to like to keep it as frigid if possible.

by Public-Secretary 4 months ago

Besides "fixing your hair" what is a non-lazy way to hide a bad hairday lol

Just shut up

by Spinkakip 4 months ago

Does this rule apply to men and women equally?

by SomeAbroad 4 months ago

Yes I noted that

by kinghackett 4 months ago

I am biased, as a man and self-confessed chapeauphiliac (I made that up), women in hats are hot as Mercury.

by SomeAbroad 4 months ago

Well yeah they're hot. All of that warmth is trapped under the hat

by RequirementLeft 4 months ago

It's also jaunty AF

by SomeAbroad 4 months ago

but it goes with my fit

by Jayson42 4 months ago

I wear my beanie/hat out of spite for opinions like this. Along with that, I wear mine to keep my bald ass head warm or protected from the Sun. I will also wear it when I haven't shaved my head in a few days and don't want to go out with my male pattern baldness showing like a bad 80s TV dad haircut.

by randy95 4 months ago

As someone in an awkward grow-out phase, you can pry my beanie from my cold dead hands.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

*tim Pool dislikes this*

by pricelibby 4 months ago

Odds are that I do have alopecia.

by lesly91 4 months ago

If I have a beanie on it is STAYING on. I've lost several by taking them off indoors and immediately having them disappear off wherever I set them.

by roselynmosciski 4 months ago

People who wear beanies to the gym are the worst

by ParticularWaste 4 months ago

okay that's the one place beanies should definitely not be allowed

by tomasajerde 4 months ago

Your opinion is definitely one that I will ignore irl.

by Berenicestreich 4 months ago

What do you think is worse: wearing a beanie indoors wearing sunglasses at nighttime/in the dark wearing your "walk outside" shoes, but inside your own apartment

by Mayersheldon 4 months ago

Sunglasses indoors. Definitely

by kinghackett 4 months ago

Bro wearing a beanie, aviator sunglasses and holding an open umbrella indoors be like:

by Mayersheldon 4 months ago

"You know who wears sunglasses inside? Blind people... and douchebags." 😆 (IYKYK)

by Anonymous 4 months ago

I don't know how anyone does it. Sometimes I forget to take my beanie off until I start getting really hot and uncomfortable

by Reedsporer 4 months ago

I'm glad the indoors don't feel too cold for you. To me, I get cold easily so I wear a beanie or wear a jacket with a the hood on.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

Bernie's are warm comfortable

by jerdelogan 4 months ago

I'm cold in the office sometimes 😞

by Altenwerthalfre 4 months ago

Not even worth the effort,… who cares?

by janisjenkins 4 months ago

Tim Pool would like to know your current location

by Real-Complaint2423 4 months ago

I've been wearing a beanie for 25 years straight, sooooooo…

by Wise-Theme 4 months ago

My aunt lost her hair to chemo and wears beanies indoors to stay warm.

by Yesenialowe 4 months ago

i'm growing out my hair after shaving my head and it's an awkward length. get over it

by Mediocre-Concern2946 4 months ago

Bro my head is cold, ok?

by Anonymous 4 months ago

I look adorable in a beanie. So shhhh

by Anonymous 4 months ago

I'm starting to bald so hats indoors is nice

by Rogahnleif 4 months ago

Finally. Not a "yucky food" opinion!

by Anonymous 4 months ago

I feel this way about ball caps

by kulasbobbie 4 months ago

Just saw a real estate agent in my lobby. Suit jacket, dress shirt, no tie, and a beanie. It's not a look I agree with.

by Hyman89 4 months ago

typical game day fit for a hockey player 😂

by tomasajerde 4 months ago

Criminal outfit choice

by Anonymous 4 months ago

Caring about what people wear as long as they are clean, clothed, and minding their own business is frankly really weird and kind of creepy.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

When I wore my hair really short, I wore one in the winter, Cheech Marin style, so my eyes were peeking out from under. I obviously took it off indoors because duh.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

Hair is super short. Walking through Kroger chances are the beanie or beret or stocking cap will stay on. Going into my in-laws? lol all off even though she'd remind me the beret is perfectly acceptable.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

Yeah but the whole issue is I can't really take a beanie off once it's on because then my hair looks even more ridiculous than the beanie.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

What about hats in general indoors?

by lizziefunk 4 months ago

Should we ban baseball hats indoors too?

by Anonymous 4 months ago

I work in a 36 degree cutting room six days a week. I need my beanies.

by Dionklocko 4 months ago

Well right now it's freezing out . So there's that …. Also I have crazy curly hair so once it's put on , it says on . You're welcome

by micaela45 4 months ago

Don't care how it looks. I'm cosy

by Anonymous 4 months ago

So, how do you say I have a nice thick full head of hair without actually saying that?

by Anonymous 4 months ago

I could not agree more, it's just tacky and the fisherman condom beanies look particularly stupid.

by Embarrassed-Fix5929 4 months ago

Plot twist I do have alopecia.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

Outdoors too

by lexie64 4 months ago

Looks the same indoors as outdoors.

by lzieme 4 months ago

No, it's not. Maybe they are cold. Lots of places are cold inside, especially for skinny people. Maybe it's part of their outfit. Do you also think baseball caps are ridiculous when worn inside? Cause that's way more common than beanies, and there's no sun inside

by Jumpy_Buffalo_8484 4 months ago

Some of you have never worked indoors on a cold job site before electricity and it shows

by No_Olive 4 months ago

Or maybe people just like the way it holds their long hair in place, and the look. Don't be mad you can't pull it off.

by Schummron 4 months ago

Lmao I love this show where in one of the episodes, she does point out the guy looks ridiculous and demands that he take it off (refering to his beanie…) especially since it's hot out and he's indoors. If it's cold and you're warming your head I get it. It does seem like a tact issue/ it does look tacky indoors to me. Like we normally take off our hats in doors in general… it's just an etiquette thing and it's suppose to protect you from outdoor elements, so it makes 0 sense to wear it inside.

by Anonymous 4 months ago

Maybe it's time for you to hang around people who care about or have fashion taste…

by Particular-Winter 4 months ago

I think it'shot

by Jonathan07 4 months ago

Any hats indoors. Or backwards. It shows a lack of understanding as to what hats are for.

by Mabel35 4 months ago

Wearing any kind of hat indoors seems tacky (IMO)

by Anonymous 4 months ago

Wearing anything on your head indoors looks stupid.
