+36 Revenge cheating is worse than cheating, amirite?

100% of the time cheating is done with the intent of hurting the other person. If they didn't want to hurt them, then they wouldn't be cheating.

Exactly my point. Cheating for revenge turns it into 100% intentional hurting

Bro Kant is going to come back to life and challenge you to a fist fight

But neither is worse, revenge is just downplayed

If they didn't want to hurt and just didn't care about them then they would just break up. Cheating will inevitably hurt your significant other, if you decide to do it, it means that you have the intention to hurt them. It doesn't matter how strong or weak that intention is, it is there regardless.

I think people cheat because they lost respect and love for their partner. Cheating I don't believe is to INTENTIONALLY hurt them. It obviously hurts them 100%

If you know that your partner will be hurt, but you really don't care because you're horny, that's also cruel. Is cheating to hurt someone more cruel? At least they're actually thinking about you dude, even if it's a negative way.

If you know it hurts your partner 100% and engage in it, you're 100% INTENTIONALLY hurting them. Being checked out emotionally in the relationship is not a valid reason. There's no in between when it comes to the act. Choose to do it or you don't. There's no excuse for murder and there's no excuse for cheating. When you do it, you're hurting the victim for whatever reason.

this isn't true at all. people cheat for many other reasons than intentionally hurting their partner i.e. disinterest, dissatisfaction, etc. does it hurt the partner? yes. does that mean they went into it with that intention? no. and because people like to misinterpret things, cheating is bad and wrong and saying this is also wrong.

When you cheat you know that your partner will be hurt, therefore you're intentionally hurting them. The only situation where this may not apply is if the person is under very drunk and they don't really realizing what they're doing. It's wrong, but it's different.

I slept with someone 2 weeks after we broke up. Ex was upset understandably. But decided to try our relationship again. She has been sleeping with her old situationship while we were together. So yes recourse sort of

No. Ya know how Batman can't kill the Joker because that will make him exactly like the Joker? It's like that. Killing is an obviously evil act, and the motives behind it are irrelevant--just like cheating. Also that example doesn't really apply since you weren't unfaithful. You didn't cheat, and she isn't revenge cheating.

There's an obvious difference between cheating and your car accident example. The person who cheats first is not just "driving carelessly" as ANY cheating has to be purposeful, the car accident is an accident even if the person was careless, they didn't WANT to crash, while the person cheating WANTED to cheat
