The only case where people might run through a fire is if there are exits on the other side. But most situations where you can run through a fire already have fire on the other side.

It's not always the flames...it is the superheated air that fries your lungs that'll kill you.

/Makes note of not inhaling the superheated air

I'm waiting for the firefighters who can explain why this doesn't work better than I could because this is absolutely an unpopular opinion and an insane one also. Well done OP.

I'm assuming you've run through flames within a burning home and you've also jumped out of a window so that you can accurately state which one is better? If not then this isn't based on your opinion and therefore is not an unpopular opinion. Fact is yeah I would much rather jump out of a one-story window then walk through my burning house. If it's a multi-story window then I would have to go through multiple floors of a burning building and that is way too risky. The risk of passing out due to there being no oxygen. The risk of collapse and being crushed to death while also burning. And the amount of fire would most certainly lead to multiple third degree burns if not complete burning of the entire body. In short there's a huge difference between a little campfire or passing your hand over a candle then an entire burning building.

hope you never have to find out

passing your finger through a candle's flame won't hurt if your fast enough, because it starts at room temperature, has little exposure to the heat and returns quickly to room temperature. if your house is on fire, you're probably already exposed to heat a lot, and depending on how much time it'll take you to clear the fire, it means more exposure to extreme heat, and if your hairs/clothes get caught on fire, that's more prolonged exposure to fire.

What do you think fire does to everything around it?

Most victims are found in spots where they were trying to reach an exit. No visibility, super heated gases. You're best off shutting a door to a safer room. Doors are fire rated for a period of time and will buy you time to be saved from a window.

Its not the fire that gets you its the heat and it can literally burn you to the bones while you are running through it.

If you have to escape an enclosed space with a fire you don't have many options. The heat is intense. The smoke is choking you. You can't see. Sure, if you had to run through something like a campfire to get to safety, you could probably do so. It would probably harm you but not in the way that a room or fire would harm you.

Hahahaha 😅👍🏼

If there's a house fire you shouldn't be standing anyway. Thats a good way to inhale the smoke an damage your lungs which is actually more likley to kill you than the actual fire
