Have you tried very lite beer? Back in antiquity there used to be just enough alcohol in beer to sanitize it for drinking, which meant you could drink it all day. Also most people died by 50. Do what you want with the information.

Depends on the definition of "Favorite" - Is it the best tasting one? No it's not. Is it the best one? Heck yeah, it's universal, healthy, balanced and you can't get bored of it. If I had to choose one drink to have for the rest of my life I'd choose water - thus water is my favorite drink.

I don't think this counts as an opinion. Just because you don't understand someone does not mean that they're lying. I like fun drinks. Coffee is great, juice is heavenly, give me Thai tea any day. But if I'm actually thirsty, regular water is the only thing in the world that is satisfying and refreshing. And the fact that it's enjoyable and the only thing that truly quenches thirst for me puts it above other drinks.

really hard water is rare, though, but i admit that i would get a filter in southern germany. plumbing and heat is rarely an issue except in really hot climates, but you need to let the water run for a bit.

I feel like a favorite drink has many categories. I'd argue water is my favorite drink as well, it's free, accessible, healthy, very hydrating, however an ice cold white monster ultra is the tastiest drink, but it's expensive, I have to go to the store, while not 'unhealthy', it's less healthy than water.

I think people usually mean tastiest, so I agree with OP. Assuming everything was equivalent health wise, I doubt anyone would be saying water — coke wouldn't be unsatisfying after a run if it was equivalent to water health wise, it would quench your thirst while tasting like coke. I know the example is extreme, but this is the intention of such a question

I drink nothing but coffee and water 6 out of 7 days a week. Because they're my two favorite beverages. I like Coke and have one a week if I feel like one. I prefer water not only for its benefits, but because it's delicious and satisfies me like no other beverage.

My Dad drinks obscene amounts of water everyday and he actually seems to enjoy it quite a bit. He just has a cup of ice water by him most of the day at home, and anytime we go out to eat he insists on picking up the bill and tells us to order whatever we want and even then he still orders water instead of anything else. He's not an exceptionally healthy person, he eats bad sometimes but his favorite drink is DEFINITELY water.

My favorite drink is Coke, because it is hydrating, stimulating and tasty, but I don't drink at all time because it's not a healthy drink at all. It's absolutely filled with sugar, and even has caffeine. I don't need Coke, even though there is a bit of a craving for it because of how much sugar it has and how it has caffeine in it. When it comes to water, I have to drink it, which is why my body naturally likes it and craves it. The amount of people for whom this is not true is miniscule.

This feels more like gatekeeping than an opinion. I genuinely only drink 3 things, Water, Coffee, and Carrot Juice. While I love coffee and carrot juice, water is never something I can get sick of or get any kind of issues from drinking reasonably copious amounts of. Water is my favorite drink.

There is always somebody that actually really feels the rare thing, but yeah for the most part I feel like this is correct. The minority of people who are genuine about that probably just don't particularly care about the taste of their drink but rather about its thirst quenching capabilities.

I loved coca cola and unsweet tea growing up and couldn't drink hardly anything else let alone just water unless I had to. But when I began drinking lots of water throughout my day I sort of began cutting out some of those drinks. I've since tried to go back but honestly, I prefer water and like it more now. I prefer it cold but yeah. It may have something to do with going off sugary drinks for a year during a diet. Now lots of things are sickly sweet.
