Live-action movies were better when they used real dwarfs instead of CGI crap, amirite?

Yep, so they cast a group of human not-dwarves more akin to a band of outcasts, and after the public ridicule they drew over them with creepy CGI dwarves.

They didn't draw over them. They just have the cast of 7 bandits and the nightmare fuel CGI dwarves in the film.

Yeah, I suspect much of the material shot with the bandits was taken out to fit the dwarves in. And as an aside, while the film is not good by any means (and the dwarves truly are nightmare fuel, when they first showed up on screen my jaw dropped) I do think it's been getting far more hate than it deserves. It does more to justify its existence than a lot of the remakes, and it's certainly not the worst one.

Yeah Peter Dinklage made a fuss about casting little people as the dwarves is offensive, so Disney did the bandits instead. Then when the public heard this they complained, and many other actors complained as it's one of the few roles that is generally offered to them.

Live action Jungle Book was great. They are often just lazy because they only want a quick buck rather than to actually remain the film.

CGI is out of control, the movies are better without them. A side note, not sure why the "little people" insist on dwarf instead of midget. Midget cars are small cars. Dwarve's are hairy and carry clubs and swords. Little people are also children or Peruvian. If you say midget it is immediately clear who you are talking about, the other two could be lots of people.
