The story in 2 felt rushed to me. Venom should've been a longer arc for Harry, maybe left for the 3rd game. Gameplay wise it's obvs an improvement over the 1st, but otherwise I prefer the story in 1.

The web wings are an iconic part of Spider-Man history. Yes, I was excited as hell when I saw them in the gameplay reveal trailer back in 2021/22. No, though, I was referring to the sheer speed of traversal in Spider-Man 2. The swinging in Spider-Man lacked a real ability to genuinely build up speed. You'd hit a cap pretty quickly, and even slow down at certain points mid-swing due to the limitations of the PS4. And, despite Remastered being a PS5 game, it is still only a remaster, so there was only so much they could do to fix this in Remastered. Spider-Man 2 has objectively better traversal mechanics, speed, and flow. What can I say? Some people are creative enough to play around with Spider-Man's superpowers and use the wings and have fun, and some people think that "you just fly" now.

Only main complaint was them doing the whole "everyone is infected and attacking you" route like the Prototype games. Hell didn't they already do it for Spider-Man in Web of Shadows?

Totally agree, Spiderman Remastered is such a classic spider adventure and 2 just ultimately flops and dicks you about. Crazy how Miles had a stunning Standalone game only to have 0 motivation to fight Venom in the final act of 2. Bonkers downgrade. And the sad thing is its mostly narrative problems that sour the experience, more care and attention would make the (mostly) fun gameplay and amazing graphics actually land.
