When keeping it real goes wrong

I think OP is talking about a hotline for people to call before they do something stupid at work (or in some cases even outside of work) that threatens to tank their whole livelihood. The problem with this is that most people thinking of killing themselves more-or-less understand the consequences of what they are planning: people die when they are killed. This give them the foresight, or at least the potential to foresee, that calling a hotline might be of help. Most people who commit career suicide, by contrast, don't understand the consequences of their intended actions, at least in the moment. The few who do understand what they're doing typically already know what the consequences will be, and are committed to going through with it for some other compelling personal reason. The former won't think to call a hotline, and the latter are unlikely to be talked out of their plans. Either way, the usefulness of a career suicide hotline is going to be very limited.

Elon Musk, I think. Him and Trump are likely all OP ever thinks about. To the point where he just assumes we know that's what he's referencing.

OP was caught doing something inappropriate at work.

So you like call them before you're about to do something monumentally stupid at work and they talk you out of it?

Most may not be aware they're committing career suicide.
