When I was still drinking i didn't understand people who loved candy and dessert, but after I quit I realized I was getting all my sugar through booze. Nowadays I understand enjoying a sweet treat.

I'm happy you quit drinking! Keep it up :)

Sweet treat over alcohol any day. good for you :)

Agree to a degree. I think things get over sweetened a lot. I can't stand when sweetness stands out in a savory dish. However sweetness definitely enhances savory dishes when used properly.

Sugar is also used to cut acidity in dishes I guarantee when used correctly you wouldn't even know. I do agree most things are pumped with way too much though. Artificial sweeteners are a whole different beast.

I once tried spaghetti that someone had added sugar to the marinara sauce to supposedly cut the acidity. it was not good ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Haha damn, your taste buds must just scream at the sight of the sugar lol, blessing and a curse.

For sure loll

I disagree with this highly.

milk chocolate is objectively more delicious than dark chocolate, I'm convinced dark chocolate snobs just pretend to prefer it to feel superior i agree with the rest though, i hate sweet sauces

For most of my near 40 years of life I felt this way. Then, I ate a piece of milk chocolate that tasted like vomit. There wasn't anything wrong with it, my brain just decided that it tasted like vomit. Since then all milk chocolate has tasted like vomit. Even non-American milk chocolate without butyric acid (the vomit chemical). So I'm a dark chocolate gal now. It happened to me; it could happen to you.

milk chocolate does literally taste like vomit to me

i physically cringe when eating milk chocolate. i'm not trying to be a snob 😠dark chocolate has that satisfying bitterness similar to black coffee. that's why i'm a fan of adding cacao powder to yogurt or oatmeal, it makes it so good

Not only do I actually love dark chocolate, I also actually love IPAs!

Dark chocolate usually still has sugar, just less than milk. What makes it dark is the lack of milk, not sugar.

girl, 55% chocolate is still considered dark chocolate. unsweetened is 100% cacao.
by Anonymous1 month ago
... Yes. But 99% chocolate bars can be unsweetened, too. The percentage is dependent on the amount of cocoa butter and cocoa solids, not whether it has sugar.

Congratulations! This is an unpopular opinion! Sweet tea is delicious. Unsweetened tea tastes like dirty tap water. Imo.

unsweetened tea is delicious and refreshing though 💔
by Anonymous1 month ago
Agree to disagree 😅

I like sweet tea and dislike unsweetened black tea but there are plenty of teas that taste good unsweetened. I like red bean teas and green teas unsweetened for example.

I guarantee a lot of the stuff you eat has sugar in it, and you don't even realize it.
by Anonymous1 month ago
nope cause i cook my own food and check ingredient labels
by Anonymous1 month ago
…? lol okay
by Anonymous1 month ago
I am 99% certain you have never eaten unsweetened chocolate. I have and it is incredibly bitter tasting, and not in a fun way. It doesn't taste like it should be food without at least some sugar added. Something tells me you have eaten a lot of foods that you don't think have sugar added but actually do.
by Anonymous1 month ago
i have. 100% unsweetened baking chocolate.
by Anonymous1 month ago
Dark 100% unsweetened baking chocolate? By itself? As in, you didn't bake with it? That's psychopathic.
by Anonymous1 month ago
yep lol ghirardelli 100% cacao is my favorite
by Anonymous1 month ago
i check all my ingredient labels. even peanut butter, i make sure its just peanuts and salt.
