You also missed the glaring plot right angles late in the story I'm not a Stan, but like the films. However it seems like they don't revise the script. It's like the kind of plotting that we did as kids

Whatever your opinion of the formula itself, in general, people come to expect certain qualities and tones of their favourite artists - much like Pixar relying on pulling your heartstrings and trying to teach a sense of emotional intelligence in their storylines. It can become a bit repetitive, but some people like that element of consistency in a world full of chaos.
