-36 Driving an automatic car with one foot is stupid and less safe, amirite?

Not only unpopular but not safe

why not safe?

Eventually, you will press the gas and brake at the same time and burn out your brakes

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Have you seen people who always have their brakelights on? That's why people hate 2 foot drivers.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

This is just objectively false.

which part exactly?

Idk driving with one foot on gas and one foot on brake feels super awkward, they're way too close together. One foot is the way to go

I can tell you havent actually tried this because you still think it makes sense. Just try it. And wear a mouthguard.

?? Then don't press the brake pedal so hard? It again sounds like it's because people from manual cars are used to pressing the pedal with their left foot all the way

Case in point as to why you're fully incorrect: if I'm driving and need to hit the brake, using one foot means when I brake there is a 0% chance the accelerator can be pressed.

That's how one drives through the front door of a Mini-Mart. Ask me how I know.

Who tf drives automatic with their feet on the gas and brake? One foot is plenty. This is just terrible driving. Very unsafe having your one feet on the gas pedal at all times.

by Anonymous 1 month ago

Nope! It's the opposite.

by Dense-Earth 1 month ago

yes I have tried. And your analogy does not work at all

by Anonymous 1 month ago

I apologise, and defer to your suggestion, which is totally practical and not at all dangerous.

by mkutch 1 month ago

Ya it's so weird right? Or flipping your clutch foot and gas foot (momentarily) the clutch feels like it takes 100lb to push, and the break SLAMS you hard lmao

Lucky seat belts are a thing. Otherwise, I was going straight through the windscreen.

Have you tried ever breaking with your left foot?

by Anonymous 1 month ago

You're 100% correct. People should learn to two foot drive. The best drivers on earth use two feet. The hitting two pedals thing is only something someone who hasn't taught themselves two foot driving would do. It's much safer if you learn how to do it. You gain way more car control and much faster reaction time

I think we're on relatively the same page. It's something to learn, practice, train, and use appropriately. Every geek on the street who is barely conscious should not do it, unless they learn how to do it right.

I have 3 pedals.

on an automatic?
