I guess this is unpopular, because social media causes more harm than good, and we'd be better off without it at this point, but if most people really felt that way, the problem would solve itself

Social media gives the illusion of community for most people. The minority have an actual community from it. I think it's bad for everyone's mental health, truly I believe that, but for some more than others

I wouldn't disagree with that. It's absolutely tanked peoples social skills in a way that may historically be documented as the primary reason for so many of the issues we have and will have.

no it isn't. i work with people who watch me constantly, asking passive agressive questions, which makes me withdraw even more. a lot of people need to focus on themselves more. i am not a threat to anyone, but that's how some folks treat me.
