Yeah - I exercise daily, don't drink, don't do drugs, work more than one job, sleep early, wake early. I'm also trying to grow my own business, I fight in armored MMA fights, I date, I've self-published a book, I've self-published a mobile game, and I can hold a conversation. Not everybody shares interests with me, but I'd say most people don't find me boring.

I mean, so long as you're happy. From my perspective, it's hard to be boring to do what you have to do, but it's still easier than being happy. Most people live in fear of something and it shows.

When people ask you to go out or participate in something, they're just asking you to take part in some fun with them. If you don't want to that's fine, not nearly as big a deal as your making it out to be

Exactly, it's like that billionaire who's trying to live forever, it's like "but why? to what end?" But the opposite mindset is of course a problem too, which OP is correctly capturing, where people become so obsessed with excitement that they live and die by it, they cannot find happiness in a normal happy routine.

Exactly, I don't understand what the end goal is. To me everything in life is about balance. I'm not gonna forfeit staying up late when I'm having a good time with friends because of a routine. But that doesn't mean I want to be staying up late every night with my friends either
