Yeah. I like the PS controller more, but that's it. I also only play like 3-4 hours a week, so not exactly a cornerstone of my self-image.

Seriously "how dare this person love something that I don't like" it's ridiculous This is not the mindset behind Console Wars --- The mindset is people overvaluing the thing they have...compared to something else. It's basically trying to brute force the FOMO out of your mind. And it's an obnoxious front to make themselves feel better about it.

I think there's a relevant discussion to be had though. Like, why would one make the decision to buy an Xbox when it's not going to have exclusives. And then when you're a kid and you could get excluded because all your other friends got X but you wanted to get Y. So it's a relevant debate and there's reasons to have it. It's not about superiority or brand loyalty, it's about making good purchasing decisions and not accidently getting excluded from being able to play with your friends.

That is just how they sold and helped garner more attention for people to buy their consoles. Genius strategy if you ask me as we can all see people love conflict. Whether it is in the form of tv dramas, controversy out in the world, or fighting, there is always someone willing to tune in.
