If packaging is costing you more than the rent, electicity bill, furniture, insurance, and all the other things needed to provide a table, you're being robbed by your supplier.

As someone who mostly serves but also hosts on occasion, I don't expect tips when working host and packaging orders. Hosts make much better hourly wages, and generally don't work as hard as their server counterparts during a rush (not saying hosts don't work hard, it's just that being in the weeds as a host is a very different animal from being in the weeds as a server).
