fake, painted and long nails look horrible on women. amirite?

I'm not sure where you're getting 90% from. I'm a woman, and I actually keep my nails quite short. I think super long nails look hideous personally. They also seem very unsanitary, so this is not an unpopular opinion with me.

I have my nails done every 3 weeks, I don't have fake nails, just my own painted with decent nail varnish. I find it strange that something I do for myself could strike such annoyance in someone like you. Lol why is your preference paramount?

Not needing to work with your hands is absolutely a status symbol. Much like tanned skin indicates you could go on a sunny vacation. I would never get long nails myself. But that's what it means

Going on vacations to tropical regions causes tans typically because they are in direct sunlight. Being on those vacations means you aren't working, a symbol of status, that you are wealthy and have it made. That's biologically attractive. The long nails are making it so you can't use your fingers for anything. Being unable to use your hands is like a symbol that you don't work a job, something that needs coordination and finger articulation. Another symbol of wealth. It's biologically attractive. Men are attracted to people their society sees as unavailable to them and are well off. It's a way for men to not want to give up easily on trying to woo someone, for better or worse. And yeah, long nails make it hard to pick up coins, but that's not the focus or what most people consider

90% is a wild percentage. As a nail tech of 9 years, 9/10 most women have fairly natural length nails even if they are artificial nails. Undoubtedly, women don't get their nails done for men. You men might think that we do but we seriously don't.

I think in concept they look elegant but it also tells me a little about the person's life style and how much they use their hands for things. I'm an artist and I could never give up those fine motor skills for the aesthetics of decorated nails, not even for a day. I think understanding that it's a full blown life style choice not just a simple aesthetic thing you wear like your favorite hoodie, is important

Theres really no way to tell if someone has fake nails really unless they're crazy long (like, maybe an inch or longer?) which is pretty rare, or they have a bad nail tech. I have decently long "natural" (I reinforce them for strength) nails and I do them for me because I have fun doing them, I like they way they look, and they make my nails less likely to break. I actually don't know any woman who cares about what men think of their nails, because I think it's common knowledge that men (in general) don't care for it.

As a woman, I think excessively long nails look revolting! I don't mind colors, but anything too long is just not attractive. I like to keep mine very short, and I'm just too lazy to paint them! I'd rather spend my extra money on video games instead of manicures! LOL

My honest opinion? Those long fake nails look so ugly!!! They also kind of gross me out and some people can't do anything with them on. Like don't get them if you can't do everyday tasks. That's just stupid. I'd much rather just grow my nails out and take care of them.
