Filming it is dumb but cold water plunges are not pointless. Cold water constricts your blood vessels and reduces inflammation. As you warm back up your blood vessels dilate and this helps circulation.

Sounds like maybe you should be spending less time on social media? Most of it is annoying, but the annoying part is that they're putting it on social media, not that people are living their lives how they want to. And cold plunging is a pretty traditional Scandinavian thing, some people genuinely enjoy the rush it gives them (not me though I hate cold water).

I've noticed a decrease in acne and better skin after doing a simple face dunk in ice water in the morning and at night. Idk about any other benefits but it's for sure helped my skin out.

I think splashing cold water in your face early in the morning is a decent way to "force yourself" to fully wake up if you overslept

I do ice baths two or three times a week. Very cold - most of the bath is literal ice. I enjoy it. I live in a tropical climate and I don't feel the heat nearly as much after a 3-5 minute ice bath. Good for muscle recovery as well.
