I know what you are trying to say but it's just not correct. We have varying degrees of locus of control but not everything requires motivation. Obviously power and control are sought after but positive influence is more important to me. There is no excretion of control just be nice and you'll tend to get on ok. A little bit laissez faire is ok too

Lol half of my friends don't even want to pick the restaurant to eat at. Most people don't want to be the person that has to take initiative to organize and plan parties or the itinerary for a vacation. A lot of people don't want to be responsible for anything just in case it goes poorly. Is life was "all about control," then I think people would be fighting over those roles instead of ducking from them. So life is all about control for a specific demographic, yeah.
