Tell us you're a control freak without telling us you're a control freak

I am 1000% a control freak and it is probably my worst quality.

That last paragraph is very true, and is something I need to learn, though it is just so hard to wrap my head around. Also, I wouldn't call you a picky eater just by your description of yourself. It is okay to have preferences as far as food. The people that I am talking about are those who refuse to try a food they never have tried, especially those who say how "disgusting" or "rancid" that food is, without ever trying it.

Agreed on the going back to try things every once in a while. Like, "wow, olives are actually delicious!" and "yep, still don't like sweet potatoes"

I only started liking mustard at age 30. I HATED mustard growing up, and all my young adulthood, it tasted horrible to me. Then at 30, I decided to give it an honest shot again and it tasted just fine. Palates really do change over time!

Why do people have to get out of their comfort zone?

I guess that is what I am saying as well. It's okay to have preferences. There are foods I don't like. But being close minded (about anything) is obnoxious.
