+54 JUST LEAVE ME A VOICEMAIL INSTEAD OF CALLING ME MORE THAN ONCE. amirite?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I go by if they don't leave a voicemail it's not important. Absolutely hate answering calls from unknown numbers.

by Lemkeisadore 1 week ago

Agreed. The only time I answer an unknown call is when I've ordered food and they're calling to tell me they've arrived. Otherwise, calls go to voicemail. If they don't leave a message, must not have been important.

Or text me!! I hate when people call me 3 times, no voice-mail, no nothing. LIKE WHAT DID YOU WANT

by Anonymous 1 week ago

roommate needs training for sure

by Malachikoch 1 week ago

Except when people misuse that and call incessantly just to chitchat. I'm busy doing other things - I don't need to be on the phone right now. Answer immediately calls need to be emergency use only.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Hmmm. I don't have that experience. I get what you're saying. Like crying "wolf"

by Malachikoch 1 week ago

Exactly. I've never called someone 3 times in a row without needing an immediate answer. I'm not calling you because I want to chat, I likely need something right now and you were the person to call.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Nobody owes you a conversation, certainly not on your timeline.

by Senior_Green 1 week ago

I am not saying anyone does, but some things do require an immediate response. If you don't answer after 3 calls that's fine, but it's very unlikely that I was calling to just chat.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

For sure, calling 3 times without needing something is crazy—but I would say that is the exception and not the norm from my anecdotal experience.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I'm glad ur not her kind of person though, it makes me feel bad because if she actually needs something important, I've learned to sigh at the 3 missed calls and no texts, no voice-mail. I don't have many people calling me so I don't have a good set example to look at

by Anonymous 1 week ago

it's called a phone. you're allowed to pick and choose who you talk to and when.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Please don't leave me a voicemail. In fact, don't call me at all. Text me or email me.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Agreed. That too would be better.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Do not leave me a voicemail. I will never hear it Simply put the information into a text message where I can read and respond to it at my convenience

by Ordinary-Oven 1 week ago

My phone does that for me now, I love it, it transcribes the voicemail into text and I don't have to listen to it (most the time)

by Madison26 1 week ago

Text me. Don't call me. Okay you are driving or it's too complicated to text- leave a voicemail. The second call is reserved for emergencies ONLY. I agree OP. Take an updoot.

by Fit_Question_8321 1 week ago

I agree. I was in the bathroom the other day and a business called me twice in a row, instead of leaving a voicemail, it was so infuriating

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Ugh and I wish when they leave a voicemail they would actually tell me the information they are trying to get to me instead of just telling me to call them back

by Anonymous 1 week ago

If someone you know calls you twice in a row, it means it's important. But yes, one should leave a voicemail after the second call regardless. Spam has gotten so bad that few people pick up an unknown number, knowing that, yes you should leave a message after the first call.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Agreed, but this is simply a rant.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I mean you don't have to answer but I'm still not leaving a voice mail

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Jesus that's someone I never want to have in my life.

by mekhi63 6 days ago

It's been pretty normal in my life… the only people who leave me voicemails are the over 40 crowd lol

by Anonymous 6 days ago

voicemails aren't much of a thing where I live in Singapore. I found it an odd concept when I discovered how popular they are/were in North America. I mean before smartphones it made sense but now you can just text or call back later or email

by Anonymous 6 days ago

I call twice if it's important, text if there's no answer. I personally only listen to messages when I have to go through and delete them every month or 2 because my mailbox is full.

by Awatsica 6 days ago

I'm a millennial. Text me

by Odd_Note 6 days ago

The only person I do this to is my mom and I feel no remorse lol

by Amazing-Jacket-3068 6 days ago

I hate voicemail as much as I hate calls, so I have it disabled. My phone will just ring forever. Unless it's vitally important, send me a text.

by Anonymous 6 days ago

I don't understand why people have this catastrophic view of phone calls. When we had landlines, we didn't complain about somebody calling to chat unless they were particularly obnoxious about it. If somebody couldn't talk they just told the other person to call back later. It wasn't a big deal. I'm not saying you owe anybody a conversation or your time or whatever, but I don't understand this extreme view people have about taking phone calls. You guys all act like your life is in danger because of them or something.

by Anonymous 6 days ago

Do people actually use voicemail? I've only ever seen it in movies.

by Anonymous 6 days ago

I refuse to answer calls. Anywhere. Ever. Home, work, travel, vacation, etc. Never. I don't think about missed calls for a second. Text me or email me.
