After rock came metall, then rap... At this point it's just a guessing game of which genre is next

"it scares me" Either it doesnt and you are an edgy teenager wanting to sound cool or unique, or it actually scares you wich makes you dumb, illiterate and hypersensitive.

Will you be playing WAP for your kid instead of mozart?
by roxanne826 days ago
truly unpopular. but there are two main differences. you can be the best kid ever and listen to the deepest underground in the current scene and it wouldnt affect anything. however, exposure to porn as a kid affects how you look at people and destroys self-esteem.

Wait until you grow up and some of the "inappropriate" music of your youth is being played at a grocery store at like 2pm.

Me as a teenager, "This radio station is playing my jam!!" Me in college, "This bar is playing my jam!!" Me as an adult, "This grocery store is playing my jam!!"

Me in the retirement home, "This classic station is playing my jam!!"

Lol what did Sabrina Carpenter do? She's not in my demographic but her music is fun and she seems like a nice enough person from what I can tell.

She's all about sex. She simulates sex acts on stage at her shows, and her lyrics are filthy. Little girls idolize her and want to be like her.

In my day Madonna would never have done any of that.

This isn't even an unpopular opinion it's just factually incorrect

Listening to the wrong music might put negative ideas in a child's head, sure. Unfettered access to the internet could result in a child being abducted. I don't think it's a fair comparison whatsoever.

These type of opinions start to circle around an inevitable "solution"-- censorship of art-- and that would actually scare me.
by Anonymous6 days ago
You are delving into conspiracy theory. Here which I agree with your point. Everything is curated for society by a select few. Those who control art, control society.
