+33 The middle seat is better than the aisle seat. amirite?

Window is best? Ugh no thanks. I want the aisle every time. And that middle seat is nothing but a squishy suckfest.

After once flying window seat and the guy in the aisle seat taking a sleeping pill, you'll never catch me in the middle or window seat again. Me and middle seat had to pee so badly but we could not wake the guy in the aisle seat. We ended up needing to climb over him and he was a big boy. It was a 12hr flight. He slept for the majority of it. Never again.

You are lucky she woke up! It gets awkward when they don't wake up…

Just call for the flight attendant and have them wake her.

I'd rather climb over someone than have someone spill over into my seat and be forced to touch butts for the duration of the flight. My seat was middle and the lady in the aisle was obese (no hate to this person, I just don't like to touch strangers and I don't like to be touched) so her butt just kinda oozed into my seat and was touching my butt the whole time.

But see that's why aisle is great. You can easily leave to get away from that scenario for a while. I sat next to an obese lady who was in the middle seat and she still spilled over into my aisle seat as well, but I could get up and walk around at least. Basically we just need to get rich so we don't have to fly cattle class. I always think I'm well off in life until it comes time to book a flight ticket. Humbles me instantly. Ain't no WAY I'm paying that kind of money for business or first class. I only got exit row or economy plus type money 🄲

I didn't pick my seat… it was an international connecting flight so I was able to choose my seat for the airline I booked through but once I got to the EU, I had to login to their airline carrier to select the seat. It was only an hour so I just decided to forego the hassle… never again! Lol And yes, I am always humbled when I book flights.. but I still have a good life so I'll take the small trade offs when I have to haha

as annoying as this mustve been are you really setting this hard rule for yourself on the off chance you get middle seated by a second knocked out fat guy? like what are the odds of the repeat

Glad somebody prefers the middle seat.

Spoken like someone with short legs. I'm only 6'1 and anything but the aisle seat is pure pain.

by Dibbertarmando 2 hours ago

Also, unapologetically 6'1". I think my height makes it worse in the aisle seats. My knees get knocked as well as my elbows

Elbows is a skills issue, but at least for me I prefer getting the option for more leg room. Better than the alternatives

Middle is by far the worst and its not close.

Middle seat is the worst and aisle is best hands down

by harveymarian 53 minutes ago

Aisle is my favorite. I can stretch my legs pretending to use the bathroom and no one has to move for me. Plus extra room

by kaley90 42 minutes ago

I agree. I prefer to be as close to the window as possible, which makes the middle seat more desirable than the aisle. The only real upside to the aisle is that, you don't have to brush by anyone to get up. But, 1) I never use airplane bathrooms unless absolutely necessary; I'm terrified of them 2) selfishly, the middle seat is better because it's less chance I have to be disturbed by someone climbing over me. I'm the one doing the disturbing (which again, I never do). So, it's far more peaceful.

I'm 6'8" and wish that more people would drop and leave the aisle seat so I could more affordably pull up quick to retrieve it.
