Smiling with your teeth showing looks way worse than not having teeth showing. amirite?

You're saying that it looks faked and forced, probably because it was faked and forced. Faked smiles look bad in general. If they're genuine smiles, do you still think showing teeth looks bad? If not, then isn't your issue more with fake smiling than it is with showing teeth?

Smiling with lips closed is literally faked and forced smiling. It's like someone saying "That's funny" instead of laughing. The natural way people smile when they genuinely feel joy is with teeth showing.

This is super random, but I think everyone has like a specific facial expression that they look best in. For me, I think I look my best with a neutral and normal look. No sad face or happy face, I just look my best when my face is always the way it is. The only photo I really even like of myself is me with a neutral face, and I'm ok with that!

I remember going years with a huge cavity in my upper canine type tooth because of not being able to pay for a dentist. When I finally went and got if filled I suddenly could really smile again. I just smiled without ever showing any teeth which wasn't a true smile.

I half agree. Some people have beautiful natural smiles and they I guess might as well show them off. For the rest of us, I agree it's forced and terrible and it should not be the norm but it is unfortunately.
