This seems to only focus on negative reviews - buts it entirely possible to be critical of something and review it favorably.

I think positive points in a review often appreciate what is actually present in the art while negative points in a review focus on what isn't.

Sometimes negative reviews reflect that a media was just bad, by the standards of the person reviewing it. Positive reviews can be biased too.

I think you're right when it comes to products and services that aren't specifically art/entertainment specifically when talking about art tho I don't agree. You can't say a painting is bad because it didn't use the shade of blue you would have.

yes, but your average person is not leaving a review for Mona Lisa if we're talking about entertainment? yes, we need negative reviews. Toxic positivity is a thing, and it's arguably as bad as negative toxicity

Toxic positivity is annoying but I don't think it's as bad as negativity. If a show gets canceled I'd prefer it gets cancelled on its own terms because not enough people enjoyed it than because a huge negative stigma was created around it.
