+38 We should have "in a relationship" rings/indicators, amirite?

by Anonymous 7 hours ago

no one would pay attention to them....

by Maximum-Bid 7 hours ago

Yeah, wedding rings are already ignored

by davidkuhlman 6 hours ago

Not only ignored, but then you also have people like my hubs for example who does so much with his hands he doesn't even wear his ring to avoid risk of degloving. You'd never know looking at him that he's married but it's not because we're not happy. Rings solve nothing really.

by Anonymous 6 hours ago

what the hell does he do that wearing a ring is a credible risk for *his skin ripping off of his hand-*

by Maximum-Bid 6 hours ago

It's called a Claddagh Ring. It's an Irish tradition. Right hand, heart pointing out is single. Right hand heart pointing in is in a relationship. Left hand is engaged then married.

"Hi, I think you're cute and here is a respectful intro of some sort." "Oh, sorry, I'm not available." "No worries, have a good night!" Why is that embarrassing? Get over yourself.

by Anonymous 5 hours ago

Also, for the person in the relationship, it's a compliment, so I dont see why the asker should feel embarrassed.

by Anonymous 5 hours ago

Wtf getting embarrassed is some how egotistical now? Lmfao wtf are you even saying?

by Anonymous 5 hours ago

Well, what I was saying is that it's not a big deal at all to approach someone you don't know is in a relationship, ask them out respectfully, and be told no. But yes, in my opinion it is pretty egotistical to notice that you're often embarrassed in a certain social situation and your solution is "other people should have to wear jewelry so that I am not embarrassed" instead of. Y'know. Doing whatever personal work you need to do to remove the embarrassment from this perfectly normal human interaction.

Are you even reading what they're saying? They're saying it's egotistical for you to expect others to change themselves because of your feelings. Not because of your feelings themselves.

by Anonymous 4 hours ago

They are saying its that for feeling embrassed I asked when they are dating. I even asked a follow up question for clarification

by Anonymous 4 hours ago

That's not what I said at all, but okay, you have fun with that 🤷‍♀️

by Anonymous 4 hours ago

You ok?

by Anonymous 3 hours ago

honestly, id question why an unavaible person is in a social event, apparently alone. kind of out of place.

by Maximum-Bid 3 hours ago

id only think that if the social event is specifically targeted at people in or searching for a relationship otherwise theyre just socializing not looking for a partner

by Anonymous 3 hours ago

I can't tell if you're joking or not, but if you're serious then wtf. People in relationships are still individual humans and they're still a part of society. Expecting your partner to be either with you or at home at all times is a serious red flag for abuse, I'm not kidding.

There's promise rings

by davidkuhlman 2 hours ago

Nah. Not used at all in today's culture

by Anonymous 2 hours ago

My partner and I have a set and a lot of our friends did too so I don't really know how often they are used or not

by davidkuhlman 2 hours ago

One douchebag vs the whole world. Hmm.
