Attacking people who want to preserve their youth is weird, amirite?
by hazel568 hours ago
Attacking people for doing things that don't hurt anyone is weird. Let people do their thing.

It's very arguable that getting plastic surgery does do harm to the collective
by Anonymous8 hours ago
It's no one's fault but your own if you make decisions based on other people's decisions.
by Key_Commission_15717 hours ago
That is a...completely detached example. The whole point is that people doing what they want doesn't affect you. A person who bullies you directly...affects you. Like...really now?
by Key_Commission_15717 hours ago
Do you genuinely think that society plays 0 role in how people behave? Do you think making choices that perpetuate negative societal trends is acceptable?
by Anonymous7 hours ago
I think you shouldn't care about what other people with their time and money, as long as it doesn't affect you.
by Key_Commission_15717 hours ago
Exactly, people buying crack isn't a big deal.

Getting plastic surgery has adverse health consequences lol
by Anonymous6 hours ago
Hmmm that can be kind of dangerous though
by Used_Direction_20506 hours ago
That does not count. "It makes me feel bad because I don't like it" does not count as causing harm. That's a YOU problem.
by Anonymous5 hours ago
It's not "It makes me feel bad because I don't like it", it's "it's pushing the message that women's bodies are ugly if they do not fit a very narrow beauty standard and is being pushed onto young girls to put money in the pockets of misogynist surgeons, thus I don't like it" If refusing be even slightly critical of anything makes you happy, do that I suppose.
by Anonymous5 hours ago
Again.... they should be free to do whatever they want. How everyone else perceives it is everyone else's problem, not theirs.
by Anonymous5 hours ago
Exactly! That's why I am an advocate for public orgies
by Anonymous4 hours ago
You don't think certain influential celebrities getting tons of work done harms children that look up to them?
by Anonymous4 hours ago
We have a lot of people rn whose job is to sell a lifestyle, beauty products, clothes that do so by employing their own beauty. If the beauty they are selling is not obtainable outside spending tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in plastic surgery, that is harmful to children, to teenagers, and to young 20 somethings. Parents can't change the culture and fighting against that stuff often has the opposite effect.
by Anonymous4 hours ago
No, they can't change their culture. But they can raise their kids properly and let them know about all that. If you just tell your kid "no you won't", what do you expect. If you tell them "yo, that person has probably spent hundreds of thousands on plastic surgery", I'm sure you'll get something out of it.
by Key_Commission_15713 hours ago
Okay. Then don't have sex again, because it can be harmful to kids if their parents don't talk about it.
by Key_Commission_15713 hours ago
Again... that shouldn't be the person's problem.
by Anonymous2 hours ago
The parents are responsible for their children. Not a random celeb.
by hazel562 hours ago
The culture creates beauty standards that parent can't counteract, be serious
by Anonymous2 hours ago
I'm serious about it being the parents responsible.
by hazel562 hours ago
Do you have any children?
by Used_Direction_20502 hours ago
Do you because nothing is said was wrong
by hazel562 hours ago
im pretty sure plastic surgery is painful.
by Anonymous1 hour ago
Too bad for the person having it. I don't see you suffering from it.
by Key_Commission_15711 hour ago

by Anonymous1 hour ago

Having plastic surgery to look younger isn't preserving your youth tho, preserving youth is like playing Pokemon or something lmao. Like don't get me wrong I won't attack people over it either, it's not my business, but if we're just yapping on the internet I have no issue saying that getting plastic surgery to look younger is not a good thing.
by Gusborer13 minutes ago
Why do you, in your opinion, think it's not a good thing?
