+28 I don't think Princess Diana was especially attractive, amirite?

by nschulist 2 days ago

Camilla! Get off the computer!

by Gutkowskiora 2 days ago

Lmfaooo To be fair, Camila is also horribly non iconic

by nschulist 2 days ago

And also not uhh, traditionally attractive...

by Normal_Neck_3935 2 days ago

Thats how you know its true love.

by lolasawayn 2 days ago

Hahahahahaha

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I mean, given how the rest of the royal line had looked until then she was comparatively stunning.

by katarina24 2 days ago

I mean I guess when you compare her to inbreds you have a point

by nschulist 2 days ago

Lots of people have a few attractive photos from their prime

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Yeah. Guess which one died in their prime though

by Anonymous 2 days ago

She wasn't smoking hot, but she was a classy woman you'd marry. She was incredibly charming.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

She was also a wonderful person who was the very definition of compassion and humanity.

by Unique-Suspect4799 2 days ago

Damn straight, perfect way to put it

by WeakConversation 2 days ago

I don't think it was her beauty, i think it was her charm. She was nice to people. and had "star power". Plus she was a princess. Literally. It was a combination of those things

by Future_Mongoose 2 days ago

Also....compared to the royal family that she married into (a bunch a uggos) she looked stunning standing next to them in every photo and brought "looks" to the bloodline which they desperately needed.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Yep, when you have the 'charm' you can never fail to be beautiful. I naturally looks help to but the 'charm' doesn't fail.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

But considering she was British?

by Anonymous 2 days ago

this made me giggle

by Different_Bake 2 days ago

Like Liz Hurley, Catherine Zeta Jones, Jodie Comer, Eva Green, Rachel Weisz, Felicity Jones, Kiera Knightly, Kater Beckinsale. Dogs the lot of them!

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Yes, let's pick the fittest women from any given nation as a fair representation of the rest of the population's looks.

by cortney81 2 days ago

Daaaaaaaammmmnnnnn. You called it out. I'll see you Hayley Atwell

by Anonymous 2 days ago

passive agressive racism

by Madalinebarrows 2 days ago

British isn't a race. lol.

by erling52 2 days ago

I think she's one of those people who looks better in motion than in still photos.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

100% her attractive energy/aura just isn't captured in static photos.

by madieschulist 2 days ago

respectfully, what does this mean?? and do you have examples? i've heard this a few times in my life about a few different people and it makes no sense lol

by Helpful-Advance3796 2 days ago

Tell me, OP, who's attractive in your eyes?

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I don't think so either but was too afraid to say it

by Certain-Fun 2 days ago

I think it's more of the fact that she's a fashion/style icon, and her positivity and generosity was what made her attractive

by Madie01 2 days ago

I, too, am into big booty latinas

by Anonymous 2 days ago

ur funny

by Millerleann 2 days ago

It was more she related to regular women and carried herself with grace. Think Hallmark movie minus the Hollywood actress... even though Diana was wealthy and not just some girl at a bakery the prince met.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I think it's just that she had a youthful sweetness about her.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

the hype around her being an icon is because she was an incredibly kind, selfless, and giving human being who broke major boundaries as part of the royal family. focusing on her looks is so degrading

by Anonymous 2 days ago

It wasn't her looks that made her beloved.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

She was quite tall in person, and very athletic; her mere presence commanded attention. But more than that I think her actions spoke to her overall ‘attractiveness'.

by Quick_Mechanic8934 2 days ago

Honest question, where you around when she was? It wasn't her looks, though I found her to be absolutely lovely. It was her presence. Her charisma. She had the it factor, whatever it was. I'm not canonizing her, she was a woman and she was human and she was flawed like we all are. She has been referred to as the most hunted woman in history and the grace and the poise she maintained through all of that is so genuinely laudable.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

This is literally me but with Sue Storm from Marvel

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Ok?

by Anonymous 2 days ago

it's her aura

by Anonymous 2 days ago

ur funny plz don't be bald

by Millerleann 2 days ago

Very unpopular, seriously

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Yesss ty. It's wild to me how many people are in here pretending it's not super common for people to refer to her as stunning or beautiful. That is all I ever hear, like classical beauty etc. and suddenly everyone is like "no, no one said that ever!!" lmao

by nschulist 2 days ago

Damn why are you taking this personally?

by Global_Variation_291 2 days ago

I don't think her status as an icon has anything to do with her attractiveness.

by Radiant_Mix 2 days ago

There is so much hype around her as an icon and while I wouldn't call her ugly You kind of jumped the shark there in the middle of the sentence.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Dunno what you mean. There is plenty of ground to land on between attractive and gremlin. I don't think she's either.

by nschulist 2 days ago

You have to keep in mind that she was British.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

I think she's beautiful. She is not "instagram pretty". She isn't plastic or contoured. She was striking. She was a young youthful princess with big blue eyes who grew into a classy woman with a charming personality. She had style and charisma.

by erling52 2 days ago

I'm pretty sure they were grading on a curve. The royal families of Europe were completely inbred. By world war 1 they were at least first cousins of each other. The kings of England, Germany, Norway, Romania, Russia, Greece, Sweden and Spain were all grand children of Queen Victoria.

by pricenora 2 days ago

The other thing is, she was the first Meghan Markle. She did interviews where she said negative things about the royals, she told her truth and the media and paparazzi had a field day with her. Not by the people but the media hung her like they do to Meghan. It was only after her death that she was then honored and the hatred turned to love and adoration. A lot of people don't remember how the media went after her.

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Have you seen the rest of that family she married to ? She was extremely attractive for the time and place…plus attraction wasn't merely physical it was also her emotional maturity, kindness and grace that made her attractive.

by Sonialangworth 2 days ago

She wasn't pretty, she looked like Wayne Gretzky.

by DisastrousLion 2 days ago

Michael Scott

by Anonymous 2 days ago

Wayne Gretsky

by Fun-Acanthisitta2874 2 days ago

Anthony Edward's portrayed her on SNL

by Anonymous 1 day ago

It's an unpopular opinion because she is commonly referred to as beautiful and I do not personally think she is? It's pretty straightforward and not that deep

by nschulist 1 day ago

Girl, you are the problem. She was also notoriously known for struggling with eating disorders because of people like you who sit around nitpicking people's appearance and making THAT the center of discussion over literally anything else of value. AGAIN, beauty is not a direct correlation to physical looks. Someone demeanor, fashion sense, build, style, and overall personality can make them iconic and beautiful. It IS that deep, you're just too shallow to recognize it.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

seriously? this is your unpopular opinion?

by Kind_Tooth 1 day ago

That's one hell of a comparison in opinions

by Anonymous 1 day ago

An everyday occurence affecting everyone. Right..

by Anonymous 1 day ago

You make it sound like really unpopular opinion!

by yasmin34 1 day ago

If you don't find her attractive fine whatever your opinion. However, she was at least an amazing person, someone Camilla couldn't be.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I think she was very pretty. I just think the styles from back then were extremely unflattering

by Anonymous 1 day ago

What an odd thing to dwell on. Please tell us what other women you don't find especially attractive

by Anonymous 1 day ago

It's not that serious lmao

by nschulist 1 day ago

shes hyped

by Perfect-Map-9006 1 day ago

You have too much time on your hands

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Not you reducing Princess Diana, a deceased woman, down to her appearance. Shocking.

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Her appearance changed a lot as she matured. I think she was stunning in her 30s after she cut her hair short and blazed an independent path in how she dressed and who she spent time with. I don't know if you're American, but politicians and public figures in the U.K. aren't held to the same artificial standards (usually requiring cosmetic surgery) that they are in many parts of the U.S.

by Personal_Walrus93 1 day ago

I agree, so glad it's not just me who thinks it

by Anonymous 1 day ago

Princess Di was known for being kind and humane, and yes she was an 'everywoman.' What a weird thing to muse about. "I think that the Princess of Namibia from the 1430s looked very average." It sounds like you think that her being an icon was based on appearances, which just tells everybody how shallow of a person you must be

by Anonymous 1 day ago

You just didn't meet her when she was 16 like the king did. /s

by Anonymous 1 day ago

It was her charisma that sold the deal, camilla is dull as dishwater compared to diana

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I agree 100% plus she had a bit of a big nose on her too.
