+53 Streaming Services Are Ruining the Joy of Owning Media, amirite?

Back in the day, I worked in an office with another guy who was similarly in to physical media as well and at the end of every month when we got paid we'd go into town on "Record Frenzy" and spend a ridiculous amount of money on vinyl and CD's. We'd sit in his car comparing our hauls before heading back and it was a lot of fun. And I agree about hunting for a rare album or, in my case, a 12 inch single. I found this particular track one day and quite literally hugged the vinyl in the middle of the shop I was so happy :) However .. I eventually made the decision that I wanted to go entirely digital and I honestly don't miss physical media. I've got a big library of MP3's and a small (ish) library of movies and tv shows on my NAS drive that I can access anywhere and i do find I prefer it this way.

I wasn't even around when owning physical media was the only option but you're right. There really is something about the feeling of owning something forever and nobody can suddenly take it away from you. Plus, if you go thrifting you can find some decent DVD/CD's for a affordable one time purchase. It's way better than paying £20 a month for a streaming service that's overpriced and constantly shifting.
