+39 Bachelor and bachelorette parties are a weird way to start a marriage, amirite?

I think you're over estimating the craziness that goes on during these. My buddies bachelor party we played Mario cart and had pizza and beer.

At my buddies we did Smash and wings and beer; so same idea :P

Only stripping was the meat off the wings lol

Not one stripper at any of the parties I went to. Unless you count that time Chad got drunk while we were fishing, stripped to his underwear and jumped in the freezing cold lake. Been to a few. Home hangouts, the fishing one, a few camping trips. All pretty uneventful. Fun but nothing we didn't do before or after.

Typical Chad behavior

Yup we were gonna rent 4 sports cars and each of us drive to a really nice golf course

We went to Vegas, gambled all night, got drunk and high. It was a blast and it felt like a celebration of marriage rather than a "one last night to be single"

My bachelor party was a high school throwback of me and my friends having a giant LAN party where there was about a dozen guys with computers all over the living room and dining room with a massive amount of mountain dew and doritos as we played first person shooters until the sun came up. It was glorious.

Ive never been to a bachelor party like this. Its always a guys weekend sorta thing. Like, a golf trip. Though one of my ex GFs slept with a guy in Nashville She told him, they had an awkward wedding, and divorced two weeks later.

This hit me when my friend's fiancé said "I just want one last night to feel like I'm not someone's husband yet" and everyone laughed like that was normal. I remember thinking: if you're already mourning your freedom, maybe you're not ready for commitment. It shouldn't feel like a funeral. Honestly, the real party should be about finally getting to build something with someone you love, not "going out with a bang" like you're losing something.

My friends and I went on a pub crawl, and crashed at a hotel for the night, nothing wild.

Its not what you do its how you do it.

The people who think these parties are viewed as a last night of freedom have never actually gone to one of these parties. They get this information from movies.

I could see going out and having a good time within reason, but the ones I really don't get are the ones that turn into destination vacations for thousands of dollars per person.

It's more about camaraderie with your bros / gals than it is about some type of sexual / relationship freedom. All the bachelor parties I've been at and planned have basically been a birthday party on steroids. Just a big celebration of the person and the milestone they've achieved.

Lol bachelor parties are friends hanging out. It's really not what you see on the movies

There is a difference of the typical movie version of bachelor parties and actual bachelor parties….we just hung and played games and watched movies and had dinner. The whole stripper thing and one last night is a trope that doesn't really happen that often. Or I've been apart of a few that joined bachelor and bachelorette parties together and we all hung out

I did VR and went for pints afterwards

I've been to several bachelor parties, including my own, and none of them were like what you are describing.

I think very few people really get that wild tbh. It's more like a dedicated trip / party w your closest friends to celebrate & hang out. My fiance & I are doing a joint bach since our parties know eachother.

It's a way for companies to make money and people to excuse going to see strippers or cheating. Definitely an odd way to start a life long commitment.
