No. OP was not trying to gatekeep enjoying thing. OP was trying to say if you are not the target audience, you can't request them to serve your needs.

Target audiences change. Pedialyte was meant for children until they realized like half their market was hungover adults….so now they market to them, too.

That's up to the brand or shop to decide who their target audience is. Complaining about it is like walking into a vegan restaurant and asking for meat, or going to a women's clothing store and questioning why they don't sell men's clothes. It's not fair to expect them to cater to your preferences when you're not their intended customer. Same as asking a kid place to sell an adult size product. If they do carry, it is okay. If they don't, you need to recognize they are for kids.

You sound pretty bitter and overly invested in others. You're upset that someone else was disappointed because a shirt they wanted wasn't available in their size? It doesn't matter who the target audience is, it's a shirt. No one is doing it because whatever Disney said. Part of being an adult is being comfortable enough in your own skin to enjoy what they like, and not succumb to peer pressure from people who hate fun and joy.

Letting yourself enjoy the things you liked as a kid is an excellent way to aid in healing your inner child. You can do it too, it really is okay. There's no need to feel jealously about it.
