Obligatory King of the Hill reference... To me this is the popular opinion. Most people that I know who are into grilling prefer to use charcoal. At least the people whose opinion i respect who actually care about cooking good food. Everyone i know who prefers propane prefers it because of convenience.

I'm a huge King of the Hill fan… But I do agree charcoal just tastes better, if you're gonna grill do it with wood or charcoal, using gas you might as well be using an indoor stove.
