+80 If you work with electricity, you're called an electrician. If you work with viagra, shouldn't you be called an erectrician? amirite?

by Automatic-Flight-328 1 day ago

No, that would be called a pharmacist or doctor.

My sister gives out viagra, cialis, and several other ED meds. She is called a pharmacist technician, but I call her an erectrician.

by Automatic-Flight-328 1 day ago

You should probably just call her your sister...

by Status_Suspect 1 day ago

I've never been that nice to her.

by Automatic-Flight-328 1 day ago

Why not?

by Dariodonnelly 1 day ago

She's older, so used to pick on me. That big meanie! Not that I hold a grudge.

by Automatic-Flight-328 1 day ago

Or a pornstar!

Right you are!

What's the correlation here? ELECTRICity -> ELECTRICian Not sure how you went from Viagra to erection here

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I'm an electrician and I work "with the electricity" all the time. We call it live work and it actually happens a lot

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I understand that. And I have done the same, but most times that I have worked with electricity, it was off until I was finished the repair. Not saying that live work doesn't happen often, but in my experience, I've worked more with a dead circuit than I have with live ones. And I'm actually an electronics technician. But I have to do a lot of electricity too, but that distinction between electrician and electronics technician might be the biggest factor.

by Automatic-Flight-328 1 day ago

Well that makes total sense. Yep electronics technician and electrician are definitely different jobs

by Anonymous 1 day ago

I agree, but others that don't do either, think they are interchangeable. I'm sure you have been given electronic jobs the same as I've been given electrician jobs. Because if it has electricity running through it, we are expected to know what to do, right?

by Automatic-Flight-328 1 day ago

Makes sense. Electrician's Greek and Latin root word means amber, since amber was rubbed to create static electricity. Viagara involves rubbing one out.

by Pinkiemaggio 1 day ago

I don't know if that is totally accurate or not, but I don't care! I'm sticking with this view.

A doctor that specialises in abortion, terminates pregnancys, hence is a terminator

That's deep!

by Automatic-Flight-328 1 day ago

If you work with viagra you are a porn star

by PassageMaleficent297 1 day ago

By your own premise they should instead be called ‘Viagrists' or something similar

by Fletaleannon 1 day ago

But that isn't funny at all…

by Automatic-Flight-328 1 day ago

If only I wasn't at work, I would totally be drunk!

by Automatic-Flight-328 1 day ago

I have an Asian friend who claims he's an erectrician, I didn't think it was a real job!
