I see where you are coming from. A lot of cars now are either over stylized (fake vents, weird sharp lines, etc.) or look like carbon copy SUV in grey.

Fake exhaust is the worst current trend

Anything is better than the current crossover singularity (in the US).

Not just a US thing unfortunately, the UK roads are filled with a sea of grey monotone crossovers

I agree. Although I wouldn't say this is an altogether unpopular opinion. There are pretty of cars from the 90s that have this design language and are appreciated for their looks, albeit they are all pretty much sports cars. Rx-7, NSX, Miata NA

Last Gen prelude still looks fantastic today (Although I'm a sucker for the older boxy ones) 90s mr2s still look great as well

1994 specifically was peak automotive design.

Nobody did the bubble body's better than Ford. 94-98 Mustang and 97-03 F150 are some of the best looking IMHO

I miss when cars had different rear lights. Distinguishable. Now they all look the same.

They looked stupid at the time and still look stupid.

I hate cars, don't get why people are so obsessed with them. But when it comes to old cars... Take my money.
