I generally find that if you just don't engage with a form of media on social media (or the internet in general) you tend to enjoy it more lol

Same, but I have the same problems even just talking to my friends. Being my friends, they don't do as much of making fun of me, but I've definitely been accused of being a contrarian on purpose just because I had different opinions from them.

I may not like the same books, movies, or media, but will happily discuss them with people; it brings me a small form of joy to see people happy about something they genuinely love. If I don't enjoy a series, I just don't imbibe in it - no purpose to criticize it when someone else enjoys it 🤷🏻‍♀️.
