As if Disney cares about equality πŸ˜‚

Never have and people are intentionally delusional to think that they do

The existence of Club 33 says it all.

by dale75 10 hours ago

Fast pass was a pain in the ass. You had book a time before hand so you had to strategize where you were going how long it would take, where in the park it was, and you still waited forever in line.

by carlottahilpert 10 hours ago

It was a better option than not having it.

I described the Disney fast pass as the "socialist" variety and the Universal one as the "capitalist" version. Everyone at Disney gets fast pass, but it's rationed. At Universal, those who pay more get privileges over those who don't.

Ugh - it is hard, tho cuz you do not want to turn them into money chasers for life either. Those billionaires are so miserable - despite having every resource available at a moment's notice to them - they still go around trying to kill millions around the world for more. Hoarding is a terrible mental illness.

by Kubjohnpaul 9 hours ago

Showing them an example of economic quality would only turn children into "money chasers" when combined with bad parenting. Plus, you speak like you actually know billionaires, which I doubt.

by Anonymous 9 hours ago

Controversial, but I work at Disneyland and fully agree. The lines moved so much faster in the days just after COVID when Fastpass lines/Lightning Lanes did not exist.

There were also way fewer people at the park

Nothing says equality like a big ass fancy castle sitting next to a rundown haunted house..

by Anonymous 7 hours ago

Where did you get the idea that a multi-billion dollar corporation has equality as a its core value?

by BreadRoutine 7 hours ago

Disney couldn't care less about equality. Where did you even get that. As someone who uses the fast pass... no. I'm not standing in line for 1 or 2 hours. More money = more comfort. That's the truth everywhere. That's why business and economy class exist, or regular and fast lanes.

by Jenniezemlak 7 hours ago

See if no one used fast pass it wouldn't be like 1-2 hours

by annie67 6 hours ago

Third one shouldn't be the case though

by Anonymous 6 hours ago

That's the way of the world, and nothing can be done to change that

by Anonymous 6 hours ago

i am morally obligated to point you toward the Defunctland documentary on fast passes

by idarice 6 hours ago

No, I'll pay extra and watch you sweat standing on line for two hours for a 5 minute ride. I might even wave.

by Anonymous 6 hours ago

Some people will gladly pay to buy themselves a better experience and a shorter wait. Disney is a corporation that would like their money. Since Disney is not going to give up that revenue without an alternate source, the alternative would be higher prices all around. The higher price point would push some attendees out of the experience entirely and the wait times would fall for the rest who remain.

Sounds like someone just learned that all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

by HotNeedleworker 5 hours ago

Disney has absolutely never cared about class equality

by Anonymous 5 hours ago

What? More money does indeed equal more comfort, more ease, etcetera. That's just how life works. I do somewhat agree that it's a pain in the ass to actually use and you'll often still wait in line for a long time. I've been to Disneyland only once, theirs is particularly awful. But places like Six Flags? I've found it best to go when it's extremely dead, like once during the summer after a particularly hard downpour of rain. No one was there, there were zero lines and I rode everything :)

In what world do we think Disney cares about equality?

I know rich people that won't pay for the fast passes and people living paycheque to paycheque paying for it. I get what you're saying but it doesn't always mean they are rich or they aren't poor. But yeah. Waiting two hours in line is insane.

Dollywood does it too. I expected better out of Dolly.

by Maximusgleason 4 hours ago

The fast pass system has only made lines worse. This is not a matter of opinion.

by Anonymous 3 hours ago

This is aggressively not an unpopular opinion.

by Plus_Milk_978 3 hours ago

Even though I can afford to- I refuse to buy fastlane passes on principle. The last fair I went to- barely anyone had a fast pass- probably due to the extra expense and not a lot of people have extra cash to throw away, but I also think many parents don't agree with them either. My kids can stand in line and get a nice tan just like everyone else
