I agree. It is especially good with bits of meat and vegetables in it. oddly enough, adding salt and spices even works.

My uncle drank coffee in the morning for years before he realized it wasn't the coffee itself he liked, it was just the heat. Now he just drinks hot water in the mornings.

Hot water from the tap is generally not as clean as the cold water from the same tap. If you are heating other ways from cold, you're good though

I think hot water tastes bad because of the way our pipes heat up water. It makes the water taste more like pipes and metal. But if it's heated up naturally it's very good.

Generally it's suggested to take cold water from the tap and then heat that, precisely because it'll leach whatever the material the pipes are made from less. Depends on the age of the building and material of the pipes, but it's a general rule of thumb
