+41 There are 60 minutes in an hour, but we never reach HH:60, where does that teeny last fraction of the hour go? amirite?

That's what the :00 is. Starts at 0. Like, 6:00:00

I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of how time works.

This question should have been solvable with just a hint of critical thinking.

I cannot for the life of me understand what you could possibly be trying to get at lol

by Anonymous 6 hours ago

Oh my god you get it!!!!!!!!!

Okay. So I know there are 60 minutes in an hour. I just think its fun to think that theres an infintessimal amount of time that we skip, to go from 11:59:59 all the way to 12:00:00, completely skipping 11:60:00. Yes, I know theyre the same, but I get a little bit of a buzz forcing myself to "forget" theyre the same and to just wonder, "where did that 0.001 go?

How can you wonder where it went when you are the one pretending it's missing to begin with? It went wherever you're pretending it did.

That, uhh, is not exactly a solid defense, big dog.

That's more of a chicken vs egg paradox

11:00 is technically the same time as 10:60

by Prestigious-Box 4 hours ago

0-1 is minute 1. 59-60 is minute 60. All 60 minutes elapse. There is no teeny fraction that gets ignored. It passes and turns to the next minute/hour.

Buzz kill So when the 60th minite FINALLY concludes, and you have finished up the 60th minute and you can relax and enjoy BEING in that last 60th minute moment... oh youre in the next hour. See? Wheres that moment?

They use that time during the weekends so they are shorter. Would be nice if they used it Friday afternoon so we got of work earlier.

I could do so much with 7 days worth of teeny bits.

Forget hours. We usually use 10 digits but the last one is 9 ?!? Mind blown

by hamillannamarie 2 hours ago

Are you meaning this for me? I have the same issue with 23:59:59

by Anonymous 2 hours ago

Id be sad if i wasnt used to it.

by Anonymous 2 hours ago

Ooh I appreciate your kind tone! Yes it does make sense. Maybe im just prone to loving the switch from .99999 to 0 but yes I can understand it... BUT, does no one else just get a ittle bit of sensational joy from positing that perhaps we "skip" time jist a little bit? Even if its wrong?

by Anonymous 2 hours ago

ah then my friend, this is no longer time related. welcome to the realm of calculus! 0.999999999.... = 1

Who came up with the concept of an hour being 60 mins? And a minute being 60 seconds? Why not 100 or 80?

by Anonymous 1 hour ago

It would make more sense if an hour was 59 minutes, 59 seconds, and - ooooh now I get it.
