The devil plays with more technical ability but has 0 soul (yknow cos he's the devil). Johnny plays inspiringly and beautifully. The people who don't get this also have no soul

Also the demon on keys did a lot of the heavy lifting.

The Devil's section is sick but it's propped up by his backing band. The moral of the story is "you ain't better just cause you can hire some flunkies"

True, and the hardest line is Johnny saying "I dun told you once you son of a BITCH, that I'm the best there ever been" (I know it's after he wins, but I said what I said)

The devil's goal was never to play better than Johnny. The devil's goal was to make Johnny sin, which he succeded in when Johnny agreed to the contest. He is even aware of this, Johnny says, "It might be a sin." before he agrees. Johnny was Prideful and Greedy, and the devil will have his soul when he dies. The devil did win the contest, just in the long term instead of the short.

Well no because in The Devil Came Back To Georgia, Johnny fights for his soul back. No wager just a good old fashioned bowstring beat down.
