I was going to say, this is a thinly veiled way of saying, "I am very needy and want a partner who will give me constant attention".

There is a big difference between being clingy and being suffocating and co-dependent. Everyone loves clingy and being wanted but when someone starts getting in the way of me doing things and getting mad I'm busy living my life or jealous that I have friends? That's just controlling and toxic, if its intentional or not. It might be cute at the start but long-term it becomes exhausting.

I don't love clingy at all. It's suffocating and I don't equate it to feeling loved. Being wanted is great. Being needed is more responsibility than I care to take on. I want a grown adult who is equally independent and functional, not someone who has a person-sized void that needs filling.

Always fun until your phone blows up cause she texts you 15 times and calls 12 within 20 minutes because you are hanging out with your sister instead of her, so you gotta be cheating cause that's the only reason you wouldn't want to hang out with her.

I agree. Feeling wanted and needed is the best feeling. Can't stand being close to someone? Don't have a relationship.
