+94 It's better to floss before brushing. That way you can effectively brush away all the inter-teeth gunk. amirite?

Isn't that what everyone does, floss then brush, then mouthwash?

by SpecificMall6169 1 week ago

No, I brush, then floss, then mouthwash. I know its not technically the correct order, but I cannot bring myself to floss first. At least I am doing it all though

by ortizgregg 1 week ago

Technically better to brush last and not rinse so the flouride can work

by Anonymous 1 week ago

This is what my dentist told me 3 weeks ago, confirmed

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I haven't looked but just assumed that flouride in mouthwash was more. Interesting.

I LOVE this idea

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I just rinse with the sink between teeth. Otherwise I feel like im pushing the stuff into my gums are something from the last tooth.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Lol mouth wash gets between your teeth just like food does

by Substantial-Crew 1 week ago

not unpopular? this is how most people floss i would think

by Anonymous 1 week ago

This is what a dentist would say. I'd say it's a popular opinion.

by HourConsideration 1 week ago

My hygienist just told me last week that you are actually suppose to floss-mouthwash-brush. I tend to floss before and after because I like to make sure.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I floss before and after just to be safe.

by WishboneInfamous 1 week ago

You're not supposed to rinse after brushing anyway

by Fideldooley 1 week ago

People floss after brushing? Gross.

by addielang 1 week ago

You are factually correct but I dislike it. Idk why just feels wrong to me

by Anonymous 1 week ago

same!

by ortizgregg 1 week ago

9 out of 10 dentists agree with you

by skyla66 1 week ago

So, i do this weird thing where i start brushing, then floss, then finish brushing, so that way i get the toothpaste between my teeth while flossing...also while doing calf raises & squats or lunges. Because i'm standing there for 2 minutes, i might as well do something

by Anonymous 1 week ago

What a legend

by Anonymous 1 week ago

4/5 dentist recommend this.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

The isnt an opinion or unpopular

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Try a water pick.

by Blickadah 1 week ago

That's how i was taught by my parents and also confirmed by my dentists. Floss, brush, and then oral rinses.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

omg I could never! Your nighttime routine must take forever.

by ortizgregg 1 week ago

Flossing first reduces gum bleeding to about nothing.

by devin45 1 week ago

I mean it depends on how long I have but I'll normally go floss brush floss mouthwash (I had to be reminded to floss a LOT when I was a kid)

by Mobile-Baseball 1 week ago

Dentist here. This is correct

by LabSufficient 1 week ago

I go floss, mouthwash, brush.

by Ready-Tumbleweed1751 1 week ago

I have been informed by a dentist that this is the correct opinion.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I brush, floss, mouthwash, brush (prescription toothpaste that stays on overnight)

by Laurel47 1 week ago

Flossing doesn't have an impact on brushing, that's a myth. You can't impact oral health through dancing of any kind.

by alyson08 1 week ago

This is not an opinion. This is a fact.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

What if I use pubes to floss?

by Striking_Tea 1 week ago

I rinse then floss then brush

by Lydiaswift 1 week ago

Ahem. Dental hygenists floss patients after cleaning. Not before.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Who flosses after brushing?

by IntelligentParsnip52 1 week ago

Except then you brush and shove stove back in there.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

This is literally recommended by dentists. Not really an unpopular opinion, it's a clinical fact lol

by Anonymous 1 week ago

All your toothbrush is doing is pushing the gunk back in between your teeth if you floss before brushing.

by emelyveum 1 week ago

I brush the outer layer first then floss. Then rinse with mouth wash. If you do it the other way youre brush food back into your gum. Sure it might be more resilient but its better then being stuck in-between your teeth

by Anonymous 1 week ago

That is how most people do it, not an unpopular opinion.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Who the hell flosses after?
