Or restrooms or washrooms

I generally refer to public bathrooms as "restrooms". Not sure you really rest in there either, but oh well.

Because boss makes a dollar, while I make a dime, so I poop on company time. I went from pooping once a day to thrice when I started working. So yes, I do rest in the restroom. I'm doing that right now in fact.

The technical term is water closet.

I specifically remember in elementary school, 3rd or 4th grade, learning that public facilities are either restrooms or lavatories, not bathrooms.

It's not a bathtubroom. It's a bathroom. A bath was (historically and still to an extent) a term used to simply describe washing all or part of your body, which you don't need a bathtub to do.

I will henceforth refer to it as the bathtub room and ridicule all who have no bathtub inside their bathtub room.

What are you washing in a half bathroom? Your hands? I'm not sure that counts. I always call it a restroom bc i think it sounds nicer and I'm prob not taking a bath when I go.

What's more, most of the restrooms aren't restful.

In the Philippines they're called Comfort Rooms or CR for short.

Maybe some bathrooms in the US do not contain baths but I am pretty sure that all the other bathrooms in the world do contain baths. Thats why they are called bathrooms. So on a global scale, there will be slightly more non-bath bathrooms but definitely not "the vast majority".

also very few restrooms have couches...or beds for that matter.
