YouTube Auditors are the Absolute Worst Kinds of People, amirite?
by Anonymous1 week ago
I think they provide a good service by letting us know just how few police officers actually know the law. Though really we should expect that when the training to be a hairdresser takes longer than that to be police, and the only crimes hairdressers care about are crimes of fashion.

It's their Constitutionally protected right. Cops shouldn't take the job if they can't control their impulses or respect civil rights.
by Anonymous1 week ago
Harrassment is still illegal. That's not protected by any law, these people are lucky they don't get charged with that.
by Anonymous1 week ago
Filming someone in public is not harassment. You have no right to privacy in public. That includes any tax payer funded offices.
by Anonymous1 week ago
Especially tax paid public servants performing their duties in public. Public servants in masks is how we're getting ICE imprisoning people over civil misdemeanors.

"they don't need to be prohibited by law the place they are in just has to say "this is an area we prohibit people going in" That's kind of the point. Signs and policies are not law. You have to create physical restrictions and barriers for something to be restricted. If you can just walk in an area then yes you can record there. I understand that you don't like what they're doing, but it's their right to record in public. Again, if you don't like it, just walk away or don't work in public spaces. Its not hard.

Some are pretty bad about it and some are pretty good about No. They aren't. The issue is not "which are the good ones". The issue is this is not a valid pursuit. There is no oversight, no accountability, no standards body and little, if anything gathered by these cretins would be admissible in a trial. In fact, there's a good chance they could sink some. Meaning if you respect their rights then they respect your rights. They don't have any special rights. They are not law enforcement. They are dickheads with a YouTube account and idiots like you are enabling them.
by Reubendamore1 week ago
Im not talking about these imaginary special rights. The ability to record in publicly available spaces is a right that everyone has.
by Anonymous1 week ago
Doesn't matter. If cops can't follow the law under pressure, they shouldn't be cops.
by kemmerarielle1 week ago
Agreed. Don't know why this is so hard to grasp for some people.
by Anonymous1 week ago
Because we're not stupid. It's nothing to do with holding cops to account and everything to do with being an antagonistic nuisance.
by albernier1 week ago
Not unpopular. " I defend my constitutional right to be an asshole" Pretty much sums up their whole gimmick.
by Anonymous1 week ago
In a country where things work, that shouldn't be enough to make police violate their rights
by durganethelyn1 week ago
I think the police should be held to a higher standard than a random person smelling a stranger's fart
by durganethelyn1 week ago
The ones who are in the right, because they're being done wrong, I get and I'm not mad at them. That's the rights we have in this country. The ones who show up, stick cameras in people faces just to get a rise out of people and then act like they were wronged when someone snaps, are ridiculous people.

I'm not following you. I think we're talking about different scenarios. I mean the guys/gals who show up at a private business or let's say, a park, and starts videoing just cuz he can and purposely pissing people for no reason. The other party ends up calling the cops and when told they're allowed to record, they start thumbing their nose at the other party. Those people are scum. While I agree with you, I still see no point is ruffling feathers, just cuz. It's a low down profession if that's how people are making any money.
by CartographerKey1 week ago
Don't give them any reason to sue and they'll go away. They literally won't, they'll ruin the day for ordinary people and will stay until they grow tired of being assholes for the day.
by Emergency_Emotion1 week ago
Youtubers in general besides a handful are all trash. All they do is copy each other for views and are the scummiest pos people you shouldn't watch. Bad for your brain. Sure rotted out the kids too

Uh no democracy needs to be reinforced by all the prickish means necessary. It was hard won and a 100% compliant population does not deserve it. Personally I like it cos im a bit of prick myself. Take the boot out of your mouth.
by Ok-Scale1 week ago
Ok, officer.
by Anonymous1 week ago
This is not unpopular, I think laws should protect people filmed and placed on social media without consent as well.
by lucienne191 week ago
I like to think of them as a stress test. If you build a car do you just accept it is good? No you test it out under various conditions. It's only then you find its faults, weakness and tolerance. If you give someone authoritative power and a gun they should be able to keep their cool under any condition even if a person is an asshole. Yes they're cops that know the laws and follow them correctly but these auditors show that some don't and they willing go out their way to abuse their power.
by Dry-Lab6051 week ago
Little people who want to be big - and/or make money without having to be accountable to anyone.
by Reubendamore1 week ago
So cops?
by Travonwillms1 week ago
Why does a free US citizen exercising their rights need to be accountable to anyone?
by Anonymous1 week ago
Enabled by idiots like you. ☝️
by Reubendamore1 week ago
I see you are a connoisseur of boot polish.
by Anonymous1 week ago
Yes, I say one thing is bad so I must therefore worship the other thing. Like I say, idiot.
by Reubendamore1 week ago
If you have to resort to name calling, you've already lost. Just like cops that lose their mind when someone gives them the finger. You can't control your emotions.
by Anonymous1 week ago
I'm sorry, person who called me a boot licker just now. I'll keep that salient advice in mind.
by Reubendamore1 week ago
If a cop can be baited into breaking the law, by someone who isn't breaking the law. The auditor isn't the problem.
