Mission Impossible movies are garbage, amirite?

I was with op until this one. After going to film school and seeing the clips of tom actually do the stunts and how well documented they are this is bs. Don't care for the writing, acting/actors etc in the movie but this is the one thing you can't take away from them. Yes it's possible and yes they totally did it

Well they did a stunt "Tom was in a full-body harness, and he's cabled and wired to the plane through [its] door. Inside the aircraft was an aluminum truss that was carefully bolted to the plane, which held the wires that went through the door, which held Tom."

Literally the first film in the series includes rubber face tech that creates indistinguishable masks of other people's faces. This is not the series for you if you like your spy thrillers grounded, I'm afraid.

1 was good, 2 I didn't really like except the opening, 3 is fantastic, 4 is also very good, 5 I didn't like that much, 6 was incredible, 7 I missed but I watched 8 and I think there were too few big action sequences in it but overall a fun time.

This is just a bad take. And these movies aren't meant to change your life or anything, it's just entertainment. What do you think the John Wick movies were all about after the first one? The action set pieces....and making more money off of exploring the world they hinted at with a loose story/narrative. JW4 must've made you puke with the usage of armor suits lol

As I said: realism. Action movies are steeped in suspension of disbelief. That's half the fun of it. We know intrinsically what we're looking at is (no pun intended) impossible, but we can still enjoy it because it's entertaining.

Ok, sure. Realism. Doesn't change the fact that action was completely unnecessary, not funny, added nothing to the film. Just made me think how stupid it would be to stand up after crawling in a field with a ghillie suit while your partner is still in the mission. If it added humor or something, sure.
