that's not really a second choice though, is it? A second choice would be where they wanted someone else, but that other person was unavailable for whatever reason, so they're settling for you. Which leaves the lingering feeling that the second the First Choice is available, you'll be left in the dust.

Like I said, I can totally understand if you don't want to be a second choice, and it's good to have self confidence and know your worth, whether you are a man or a woman.
