+41 Ranch is the only good condiment for fries, amirite?

by Anonymous 5 days ago

This is not even close to an unpopular opinion.

Ummmm yeah it is

by Anonymous 5 days ago

People drink ranch. Everyone I know dips their fries in it.

by Anonymous 5 days ago

Yeah but OP said it's the ONLY good condiment for fries… which is just absurd. Fries are a pretty neutral flavor. They taste good with lots of different condiments.

Ahh I didn't pick up on that. Yeah there's plenty of good condiments for fries.

Ew. So glad this is not a thing in the east coast. Although im horrified its an option with wings instead of proper traditional blue cheese

by Anonymous 5 days ago

This… is on the east coast. I worked in food service for 10 years. The amount of ranch consumed is appalling.

by Anonymous 5 days ago

Ew. Well ive lived up and down 95 and this is not a typical condiment in my restaurant experience. Thank goodness— despite it being an option with wings at some establishments

Come to the Carolina's. I would say it's rare for a place not to have ranch. Pizzerias, breweries and pubs, fast food. Everywhere. It's also probably the most ordered salad dressings

by Anonymous 5 days ago

Most ordered salad dressing? Weird. Im convinced its generational then. And I love South carolina. Especially Charleston! Now thats a food city and dont recall ranch coming out with my bbq or fries

by Anonymous 5 days ago

I live on the east coast… Ranch is readily available everywhere and many people dip their fries in it. You know it's optional right? So weird to act superior about how other people enjoy their food.

by Taniaebert 5 days ago

I dont see it but, clearly, never ask for it. It doesn't come out as a typical condiment. French/ Belgian bistros come with homemade aioli while standard pubs usually have ketchup and hotsauce on the table. So the "ranch explosion" somehow has passed me by despite living mid Atlantic my entire life Thank goodness;)

I usually go with good ol ketchup but on cheese fries, ranch is delicious!

by Anonymous 5 days ago

Buffalo wing sauce is a great option too (with the ranch)!

by Anonymous 5 days ago

Ooooohhh yum, I know what I'm having for lunch today!

by Anonymous 5 days ago

Sorry you like dry food.

by Anonymous 5 days ago

Yeah what an idiot, everyone knows you should mix your fries in a bowl of water so that they aren't dry and crunchy!

by Spirited-Reply 5 days ago

There is no fry on this Earth that isn't elevated by some type of condiment.

by Anonymous 5 days ago

When you people that have to drown every single thing you eat in sauce find out about seasonings, it's gonna blow y'all's minds.

by Spirited-Reply 5 days ago

Nah it's all about ratios. You eat a burger just beef and cheese? No sauce? Hot dogs with no condiments?

by Anonymous 5 days ago

Mayonnaise

by Anonymous 5 days ago

That's good, but barbeque sauce and mayo mixed is even better!

by Anonymous 5 days ago

Spicy aioli fur me

by Anonymous 5 days ago

Putting ranch on X is not an unpopular opinion....

by Anonymous 5 days ago

My French fry hot take? Dip those bitches in mayo

by Anonymous 5 days ago

Barf. Midwesterners and their ranch… go to a proper french or belgian bistro then report back

by Anonymous 5 days ago

Not midwestern but okay.

by Anonymous 5 days ago

Nope. Guess again buddy.

by Anonymous 5 days ago

I dont want to guess, i dont care but to me ranch is associated with 12th generation Wisconsin. Is what it is. Although genz is probably more accurate. I certainly dont see it around at my restaurants or pubs
