Its heavily exaggerated at times for sure, but the issue with iPads is they're too mobile and provide too much on demand. Children are starting to lose reason to interact with the world, which is extremely important for developing the skills they need to face the world as an adult. You never used to be able to take your N64 on the bus, or to school, or on the plane, now it's everywhere and children are starting to get withdrawl from it.

I think the main problems are kids only being able to doom scroll reels/shorts/tiktok pre 3 years old. Its different when a school age child plays video games 6 hours a day imo. Adults of all ages living on their phones is already bad enough. Why start that "issue" even sooner. Children aren't being raised, they're being entertained.

No way this is a real opinion- it's TO UNPOPULAR Watch a video about a long time teacher about how kids are literally addicted to mobile devices as they are designed to keep kids watching for as long as possible. The N64 is a horrible analogy because these games are built for enjoyment and entertainment while cocomeloj and the like are their simply to get kids to watch as much and as long as possible

This is an incredibly uninformed opinion, lol. If you can't tell the difference between a kid playing Super Nintendo all day vs a 3yo watching cocomelon all day, then you're a lost cause.

My kids use the tablet quite a bit and some of the stuff they play or do on it is junk for sure, but they are also super active in other activities, get good grades, and are social and friendly. I see no issue with allowing them to use it for whatever purpose they want (kid appropriate of course)
