+84 I hate cyclists, amirite?

by Anonymous 4 days ago

I feel like in an ideal society there are dedicated bike lanes for all public roads. Solves a lot of the issues

by Anonymous 4 days ago

Then you're gonna live in a flat country, where biking is popular. Not all roads have dedicated biking lines, some of them do, and there are a lot of bike only roads, which is even more ideal. So yeah that ideal society is there, you're just not living in it.

by Anonymous 4 days ago

An ideal society has outlawed cycling on roads, on pain of death.

Do you know what unpopular means

by dgreenholt 4 days ago

Everyone hates cyclists, even cyclists

by Anonymous 4 days ago

The issue isn't that drivers think the road is only for them, it's that cyclists often disregard basic rules of the road, making things more dangerous for everyone involved. A bicycle is supposed to act as any other vehicle, yet more often then not cyclists will weave in and out of traffic, run red lights, and disregard signage.

by legrosroel 4 days ago

found the cyclist

by Cloydblanda 4 days ago

Found the person who's tired of hearing this repeated indefinitely, you mean. I live in a civilized country with bike lanes, i don't have this problem.

by paigeernser 4 days ago

No I mean I found the cyclist. The bitter one at that.

by Cloydblanda 4 days ago

Aww you hate bikes? You afraid of only 2 wheels? Mr weeble wobble over here fall over too much?

by Anonymous 4 days ago

Not bikes. Cyclists. Hate em.

by Cloydblanda 4 days ago

This is not an unpopular opinion.

by Anonymous 4 days ago

What do you call someone who discriminates based on race? A racist, yes? And someone who hates people for their sex? A sexist. You don't like people who cycle. I think you might be a cyclist.

by Anne33 4 days ago

I have no issue with bikes being on the road as long as they are within their lane. So many cyclists take to the roads when there are no bike lanes on narrow streets and force everyone to move over. Even when sidewalks are double wide and there is plenty of space to cycle safely on the sidewalk. Most people move over anyway because it seems like most cyclists are incompetent and can't be trusted to stay within the lines which is really sad for actual seasoned cyclists. In a perfect world, bikes and cars can coexist on the road when proper bike lanes exist. However, I regularly see bikes hogging the road, looking behind them and swerving out to the left into traffic by mistake, weaving in and around the line, ignoring laws and not using hand signals, using the road when it benefits them then using the sidewalk to get around lights and traffic. Like, you shouldn't get to be on the road if you're not going to follow the rules. I don't understand why more cyclists don't take this seriously, at least in my area. You are a squishy bag of meat playing games with tons of metal that could end you in one mistake on either person's part. The way I see it is: if the cyclist can stay in the lane consistently and obeys the rules there is no issue. If a cyclist falls under my car when I'm driving (without making more space than is necessary) because they can't balance on their bike properly, I shouldn't have to deal with the consequences of their mistake.

by Various-Winner1067 4 days ago

They hate you too, but mostly because you have a multi ton death machine and you dislike the people you can easily hurt and maim

by Brannonhaley 4 days ago

I'm with you. Especially the assholes that go 15 in a 35 right down the middle of the road.

by Cloydblanda 4 days ago

Just an FYI- Cyclists will go down the middle of the road either due to having no shoulder or very little shoulder and drivers who think they shouldn't have to move over to safely get around cyclists. It's truly for safety.

by Anonymous 4 days ago

Yes, because bad drivers don't exist ever. You right.

by Middle-Nectarine 4 days ago

It would be safe if car drivers paid attention...as one is supposed to do.

by Anonymous 4 days ago

Leave us alone Josh Kraft!

by Anonymous 4 days ago

Especially during rush hour on busy streets, drives me nuts. How can having 15 people backed up behind you, pissed off first thing in the morning be safe? So many side roads to go on that aren't used from 7am to 9am or 5pm to 7pm. Any other time any other road I'm fine with it especially if there are no bike lanes, but when it's the busiest and they are causing issues and delays is just stupid.

by Lanky_Bathroom_7024 4 days ago

This is one of the most popular opinions anywhere you go.

by Significant_Cap 4 days ago

Wonder where you're from

by Anonymous 4 days ago

A McDonalds drive thru I'm sure.

by Middle-Nectarine 4 days ago

I live in a huge biking community with so many bike lanes. It's not cyclists; it's our terrible infrastructure as a country.

by Anonymous 4 days ago

More accurately you hate the bad ones

by Stellaweimann 4 days ago

Yeah because all car driver are great people who are obviously thr only ones entitled to the roads.

by Anonymous 4 days ago

by dalton32 4 days ago

your opinion is so popular there is an entire country on the planet earth built specifically to cater to you

by Anonymous 4 days ago

Punctuation

by wardgodfrey 4 days ago

When they take up the entire sidewalk and stand still. I don't say a single thing. I walk by them and rub my hand down their entire arm, dragging it from shoulder to hand, and continue walking. That freaks them out every time. It sure snaps them out of their trance and they realize the world isn't revolving around them anymore. Then they call me racial slurs and fat and all sorts of things and I get a big smile on my face knowing how triggered these chud bikers get. They don't care what a person tells them, but they sure do feel when you touch them.

by Laverna44 4 days ago

Intentional touching of another person without their consent is battery by legal definition. Self-defense rules apply.

by federico82 4 days ago

Let's fight then It's a good thing we got dental plans now Get into your bike lane hoser

by Laverna44 4 days ago

A police report, and pressing of charges are appropriate for pervert weirdos who want to touch others and pick fights. They add up. Here in Florida, Florida Statutes ยง 776.012 says that victim of your touching and threats can use deadly force if/when they feel you could likely commit bodily harm to them. Why not just be a nice person?

by federico82 4 days ago

The stupid skin tight outfits are embarrassing too. Like you're not in the Tour de France where every advantage is necessary just wear normal clothes.
