+51 Cops shouldn't use giant pictures of toddlers when teaching recruits to kick in doors, amirite?

I'd be inclined to agree with you if I could find any evidence of what the hell you're talking about.

Yeah, when training them to kick down doors, they get giant photos made of toddlers to train the officers to "kick through" the door. Obviously most people don't want to kick through a photo of a kid, so it psychologically trains them to be able to more easily kick through a door with more power knowing they can do it when there's something that naturally holds them back more (like not wanting to kick a photo of a kid)

I went through MP school in the Marine Corps and we didn't even do this. What are you talking about.

They do it at some civilian academies

Yeah I'm gonna need a source on this one, "trust me bro" ain't gonna cut it. I'm not in the business of defending cops anymore, but I am in the business of not spreading misinformation.

the police still needs to learn restraint. otherwise they might accidentally shoot someone innocent. again. they should have restraint so they know to shoot at someone actually guilty.

What if they encounter a door made of toddlers?

by Anonymous 4 days ago

Gotta kick it down

What a strangely specific opinion you've got there.

Let's train police officers to show even less restraint, because it's going so well right now.

You can arguably train them to use restraint without having them kick photos of toddlers, though

Nope, only way to train police is to desensitize them to child abuse. Its science.
