I dont get the hate on Jojo Siba's song, amirite?

Are you talking about Bette Davis Eyes? Her voice is incredibly raspy, it sounds like she's shouting throughout the whole thing, and it doesn't have anything resembling the passion of the Kim Carnes version.

I think her latest song should've been her rebrand. The sudden change is awful but hopefully she sticks to it cause it's way better than her humping teddybears and making everything about her sexuality.

If you're talking about the Betty Davis Eyes song…it is just not good. She sounds like she has phlegm stuck in her throat and it sounds awful. It's not what her voice normally sounds like so the fact that she forced that sound was not a great choice to be made

It's typical for former child celebrities to rebrand every few months. Last year, she tried proving her "maturity" by acting raunchy and rebellious. Now, she adapted a persona which is a complete 180. I guarantee that next year, we'll see her go through another drastic rebrand, to maintain relevancy. Most of us are through this tactic, and are annoyed by celebrities' inauthenticity and clout chasing.

The thing it's all the brain child of her mom, the same woman who started putting her into child dance competitions and dying her hair at two years old. I see her Kiss knock off makeup and all I see is her weird mom's influence who actually has no idea how young adults work.

No like I don't even understand what you're forming an opinion on, who these musicians are, what their music is or what terrible things they've done, sounds like TikTok tabloids which is likely why I'm out of the loop

It has nothing to do with hating the genre and every to do with how bad her vocals sound in it. Even with autotune and all the advanced techniques available to her, she managed to sound like she has no idea how to actually sing well.

It's an uncanny valley effect for me. She's pretending to sound like she sings like that , but she doesn't, so it comes across as forced and not quite real. It makes me deeply uncomfortable to listen to it.
