No. In that situation, smoking is vital to your health, but that doesn't make it healthy. Those are different things. I understand how you could be confused though. As a counter-example, think about the Saw movies. If I say "jump in this pit of HIV needles or I'll kill you", then getting HIV is vital to your health. Because you will die if you don't get HIV. But that doesn't somehow make HIV good for you. It's still bad. Just less bad than death.

Every discussion will eventually come down to semantics if you dig deep enough. So, unless your argument is that objectivity doesn't exist on the basis that you could argue against any definition, then it's best we stick to the generally understood meaning of "healthy". And, in that sense of the word, cigarettes are most certainly not healthy. A doctor is never going to recommend cigarettes to you no matter what issues you have. At least not any doctor worth listening to.

Fuuuuck this I just chopped 18 inches of hair off, and I look (and feel) so much better! My hair was healthy and well cared-for, but unless you have the know-how (and time and energy) to style that long-ass mess everyday, it doesn't automatically ‘look better' just because it's long.

I'm black-latino and when I grow my hair out it looks...greasy. I wash it two or three times a day to try to make it look normal, but...no, it makes me look homeless. When I was younger and tried, my friends took to calling me "Dirty Jesus"....and now that I'm nearly 40, their kids call me that, too, even though it's been years since I had long hair.

I'm a guy and have long hair now. If it's freshly washed and everything, I can look like a dreamy Renaissance painting. But if not, I can look more homeless than the homeless. I know that if I cut it short, as I did before, I can look sharper and younger on a daily basis.
