+63 Having a 9–5 job does not mean you've failed your dreams. amirite?

I mean there's levels to 9-5 jobs. People at OpenAI make 3 mil a year with an office job. Most entrepreneurs on social media make minimum wage & show off. Also, working 24x7 is sad, it means you have no life.

If working too much is sad, then I don't think I want this concept of happiness. Now if you are unhappy working, then I definitely agree with this sentiment - go chase your hobbies and enjoy your life. Working 24x7 to me is bliss, I suffer from PTSD and my mind will begin to wander if I am not preoccupied. There are people out in the world who are oppressed because of the people they were born to. Killed for mistakes they had done against their religion. Abused and mistreated for being the wrong gender. A nice office to me is bliss. I believe I am very fortunate. Society has become so hyper-fixated on throwing extravagant events to make it memorable that we tend to forget just existing in comfort is a privilege.

Don't take this the wrong way but you maybe chronically online. The real actual world out there considers a 9-5 in this economy a blessing. Sure there are always people out there tryna sway you but in my experience, this opinion is generally pretty popular.

You are just chronically online I think, 99.99% of real world people will agree with this

There are many people whos dream of life only fulfilling by doing 9-5 jobs. Like being a doctor, scientist, police, video game developer, pilot of a aeroplane or ship, ethical hacker, teacher, civil servants, ceo etc. and there are many jobs that pays more than annual profits of small to mid sized entrepreneurship or businesses. So doing a 9-5 jobs is not failure for everyone. It is being successful and fullfilling one's dream.

As lame as it sounds, I always wanted a happy relationship, financial stability, a cute home, books and travelling. I'm a bit behind on travelling because of covid and stuff, but otherwise I'm pretty solid on track. So... that's it.

Only way to fail is to entirely give up

What? If you feel like a failure because you're working a 9-5 job instead of chasing your dreams that means you failed at your dreams… it doesn't matter what other people's dreams are
